athywhite1958 Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 Peter Thompson, we got him at the end of his illustrious career, but he was still a class act, I remember his testimonial at Burnden, it was a Friday night against Liverpool, we had just won the 2nd division title and they had just won the European Cup, the teams came onto the pitch with their respective trophies and I was embarrassed at our cup, it was so tiny compared to theirs, anyway I think we won 6 - 5, IIRC Bolton lads were beating scousers up on Manny road after the game
