Didledee Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 OK 3 reasons why we didn't win[we should of] 1) Fulham's keeper Schwarzer 2) Elmander- perfect ball from Kevin Davies and all he had to do was beat the keeper, but sent it wide, I'm sorry but that should of been 1-0, he bottled it! 3) The ref - i hope he comes out after seeing the replay and apologises, he has robbed us 2 points that we won't get back! it was a legal goal, pathetic decision! Also i think Lee should of taken it 1st time instead of unluckily not getting past Schwarzer.

Fucking appalling after OC talking about players putting effort in. Fair point, it was lackluster from both sides. We were the better team but thats a bit like saying chlamydia is better than syphilis.

Plus points Muamba was excellent, ricketts did ok filling in a centre half Fulham came for a draw and went away happy ? 8 mill - ?11 mill mego signing and another elmander miss, everyone on here knew last summer what this team needed was creativity and forwards but megson bought defencive crap such as players not considered good enough by brownie at hull. as i said before it will be a job well done if OC keeps wanderers in the top flight given the shiite magson bought.

The most disappointing thing was that we seemed to only have one tactic in mind, the long ball to Davies. I hope that coyle starts to wield the axe, and those that ain't performing may way for some who might.

Elmander got 1 chance and he's not a 1 chance = 1 goal player in any way. perhaps you, Frank and Moaner J can tell us exactly how many chances he needs then? The game was bad overall but last years defeat to Fulham was depressing at least today we showed enough in the last 20 mins to offer some cause for optimism. I get the feeling that there is a good few on here just waiting to say 'told you so' re getting rid of you know who. They would like to do it with Elmander as well, good luck with that one! I'm with Mounts. Once Coyle makes those changes and we will be ok.

I've stayed away from slagging off Taylor but he should have left the pitch at half time and not returned. Weiss should start the next game in his place as he showed a complete lack of respect when taken off, sulked, walked straight past OC and sat down on the bench. Elmander puts himself about and should have started up front instead of Mark Davies who isn't a centre forward nor a player to sit in the hole. How Elmander missed that chance late on I'll never know. I think half the team was walking back to the half way line thinking he'd scored. Overall performance 4 out of 10

I wish they'd bugger off back home as they are cleary only there to let off steam from being hen pecked at home.

Perhaps he wants to give the 'established' players a chance to show him what they can do or is wary of changing too much too quickly (like Sammy Lee). Either way I think once he gets sorted it will be the end of the road for some of them. By the way I thought Muamba was terrific today.

We need that midfield moving around as they just didnt seem bothered.. pathetic, Muamba had a good game, not sure about the others.. Elmander had a good half, missed a sitter but plenty of players are guilty of that, We need to start playing two upfront, Davies cant do it on his own, the first half showed that. Weiss is great, can see why hes not in the city team and why Coyles not starting him, but he will do a lot for us !! Woeful attendance, I can only go to the cheap games/cup games, but after being told by the ticket office that everywhere was sold out apart from the North Upper and South lower.. I was very peeved off..

The guy should be dropped even if we cant play the lad from city on Tuesday night

SKD just didn't look up for it and he is normally a commited player and goes slidding in and scaring the shite out of defenders. I didn't see him do that once today. OC made the wrong decision to play the young lad up front. He look totally lost. OC shouted the praises of Elmander the other day so why not play him?
Tonge moor green jacket Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Nowt much to get enthused about today- I think the formation and selection left many scratching heads and much of the 'football' gave little encouragement for a good atmosphere; the introduction of Weiss helped. we were gagging for someone to pick a pass against a well-marshalled team. SKD et al, please practice controlling the ball. Muamba- excellent
