According to the Daily Mirror today Matty Taylor had a blood test a couple of months ago and found to have had glandular fever. He said had the blood test as said he felt sluggish and didn't feel right.

Maybe start to explain his in and out form this season.Great performance from the lad saturday second half.

Maybe some fans can give the guy some slack now

dont be fucking silly, he's a fat, overpaid exuse for a professional with a massive chip on his shoulder. He has a huge attitude problem and no interest or desire to play football for this football club.

coyle was right , he did look like he was trying to hard when he was on the ball, always looking for that match winning pass when simpler passes were on. off the last 2 games, seems the kick up the arse he got has done him wonders.

Glandular fever would explain some of his issues, I'm surprised no one at the club picked up on this though.

A fit and confident Taylor is worth having at this club IMO.

I really hope you are out on a fishing trip here...

If not Im assuming you didnt see his celebrations on Saturday?

Aye, the lad looked gutted when he scored on Saturday.

Something he's done more than anyone else at the club this season, by the way.

Despite being "shite" for most of it.

No desire ???? Think the celebrations kill that argument .

Will everyone stop getting shot?

were gonna need a bigger boat...

Hmmmmmmmmm, think I've had glandular fever for about 4 years now then

Is the Mirror where Coyles' mate works ?

I'm one of the Very few who backed Taylor in this website and the graft he puts in makes him a very good player to have around his goals make him virtually priceless to a club like Bolton. Take his goals away over the last few years and we would be in the championship by now. The fans who slag him should hang there heads.

He's also quoted in the Daily Mail*....I'm not really helping the cause am I?

*I don't read the DM, News Now had a link to their report about Taylor

Agreed totally, they picked up on Cahills problem considering its rare. I hope we keep him :good:

Couldnt agree more. His goals over the last few seasons have been priceless. Especially with an 8m swede who couldnt hit a barn door parading round up top.

Explains a lot too, he definitely hasnt looked fit this year, very sluggish. if hes fully fit for next season then i defo would keep him. Players who get double figure goals from wide are not easy to find, certainly in bottom half teams. Top scorer and i bet hes barely started 25 games

This is taken from the BBC regarding his glandulare fever...

Taylor came on as a substitute against Stoke at the weekend with his side trailing and scored two goals in the last 10 minutes to secure a 2-1 win.

:nea: Typical BBC Journalism...

No your solar panel is just not working properly :D

Personally i don't believe that it caused his poor form this season.

But if he believes it, then hopefully he will be back to his old self.

why

have you seen his notes?

Whatever the reason for his poor season Matt taylor is our top goal scorer.

correct.

8 goals from a wide man who has had a poor season certainly aint a bad return.

Thank fcuk there's a doctor in the house.

I reckon it more than explains MT's lack of form this season.

I remember a few years ago Gary Lineker managed to contract AIDS on a pre season tour of Malawi, and it took him a good few weeks to shake it off, but he was soon back to his best. I think he had to play wearing a condom for a while though.

You would have thought if he was struggling, it would show in his Prozone stats.

Then someone would ask him about it, "I dunno why but I'm still fucked"

Then commission health tests.

Seems like it's all a bit after the event. In my perhaps simplistic world anyway

Spot on , it was only last year that he was linked to the england squad. some people have very short memories.
