Scrappy Doo Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 my opinion: Hunt Elmander Andy O'Brien Riga Joey O'Brien McCann Shittu
moemusic Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Riga not had chance to prove himself fair enough with the others
superjohnmcginlay Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Riga not had chance to prove himself fair enough with the others Not even whne the coaches and managers, and to be honest two lots of staff have seen him in training on a daily basis and reserve team games and chose not to go with him.
passmosster Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Riga not had chance to prove himself fair enough with the others I've seen him 3 times. Once at Arsenal last season as sub. He was hopeless. Once at FC Eindhoven in a pre season friendly. A Dutch Div 2 full back took the ball off him every time he got it. At Spurs in the Cup. Came on and didn't do too bad. Conclusion is that he isn't up to it. Joey O'Brien has had a serious knee problem for the last 3 years. Megson gave him a contract to stand by him until he had time to prove his fitness. If he doesn't the lad will have to retire from the game. Ship him out isn't an issue and the Club have behaved well. All the others except McCann are under contract. Coyle has said that he will give him the chance to prove his fitness after his op. So, unless someone is prepared to come up with Premiership style wages, or the Club pays up part of their contracts, it's just dreaming thinking that we can get them out.

Zico Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hunt Samuel JOB Elmo Riga Gardner McCann Vaz Shitter bash AOB them 3 could stay fer me on the presumption that if 11 leave, 11 will not come in, so any who can still be used should be kept
tarian1979 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Elmander I bloody hope so, though i doubt we will see Klasnic next season, disappointly, (granted he doesnt always put a shift in but he'd get 12 league goals i reckon min if he played full season) so he may be kept.
Tyldesley White Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I can see Samuel wanting out and so would i if Paul Robinson was picked ahead of me
gonzo Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 (edited) gavin mccann will be a blackpool player next season.fact. Edited April 29, 2010 by gonzo
bwfcol Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 gavin mccann will be a blackpool player next season.fact. As long as he doesn't play for us, I don't care! JLS will go I think, Shittu obv. Not sure about anyone else TBH
LodgeMorrWhite Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 McCann was villified by a lot of Bolton fans before he even kicked a ball for us. Im not suggesting the club should offer him another contract but I do think some of the criticism he has received has not been merited. Remember Bolton made history when they became the first ever British team to beat Red Star Belgrade on their own patch and it was of course McCanns goal that got us the win. For that contribution alone history will mark him out as a significant player for our club.

His goal in the away game at Boro was far more important, he wasn't/isn't everybody's cup of tea but like you said he played his role in our european campaign and also in our survival.

Not just his goal, his whole performance in that game was brilliant. He was absolutely top class in one of the most important games in our Premiership history. I'm not his biggest fan and do think he should leave this summer, but like others have said the criticism he receives is massively unmerrited.

tarian1979 Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 (edited) Id keep Jussi Al habsi Cahill Knight Ricketts Muamba Holden Davies M Davis S Chung Yong Taylor Davies Klasnic Wilshere - would ask arsenal if we can keep another year Gardner - prob keep as a squad player, suspect he will be off tho The rest i aint bothered about, granted the overall turnaround of players wont be that big but any name not on the list above i wouldnt be overly bothered to lose. Nice bit of sarcasm. Like it. I suspect he may ask to go, and have his wish granted, if hes not going to get much game time

I suspect he may ask to go, and have his wish granted, if hes not going to get much game time Behave, he's been at the club since 1998! He's out-lasted 3 whole management tenures and is more than settled, he'll never ask to go anywhere.
