Recent Filums I've Watched

Book of Eli - Denzel Washington - took two attempts to watch it all the way through - a bit of a duff Mad Max type film. Watchable. 4/10

Green Zone - Matt Damon - enjoyed it, always like films based out in Middle East, etc. 7/10

Planet 51 - was enjoying it til I nodded off, kids liked it - must be good. 6/10

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - see above - 6/10

Good Will Hunting - Matt Damon/Robin Williams - look, there was fook all else on this Saturday just gone, never seen it before - quite enjoyed - the scene were Robin Williams was going on about his late wife farting in bed had me in tears - half decent. Oh, and Minnie Driver looked far better than I can ever remember. 7/10

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - its Swedish so no famous actors/actresses - great thriller - didn't bother me that it was in subtitles great revenge scene on the pervy Probation Officer- looking forward to the 2nd in the trilogy in the next week or so - well worth the watch and highly recommended. 9/10

That's me, Jonathan Woss, over and out.

got it but i'm intending to wait

All the blokes in our house were grateful for a three hour interruption between the Xmas day usual shiite. Cinematic 70mm widescreen shots of a snowbound Wyoming will look amazing on the panoramic view at the cinema,Tarantino at his best.. 9.75/10.

Watched lone survivor last night, fantastic film based on a true story about four Us navy seals under attack from the Taliban. Well worth watching 9/10.

LONE SURVIVOR  dose he live ????

Might be based on a true story but the utter bollox added to it made it laughable.

I might go see it again at the pics.

Spectre screener available from the usual outlets...

golf

teletext

Went to see the new Star Wars. Not my sort of thing but watchable enough at least and t'lad and t'nephew were happy enough.

Not a patch on Escape to Victory, currently on 5.

That dark fella up front, matches Lennons criteria in a striker, worth a punt?

One of my all time favourite

Had it in VHS as a kid and watched Pele and Ardilles over and over

Watching it today and said "ossy thinking he's Jay Jay here" when he flicks it over his head.

Great film.

Brooklyn. Nice one for the ladies, very arty and portrays Brooklyn and mid nowhere Ireland in the 1950's very well.

However it was written by Nick Hornby of Fever Pitch, the devil incarnate for me as far as modern football is concerned and for that reason only it rates 6.5/10.

Watched a couple of films over the festive period.

Everest - stunningly shot film. Felt it hard to have any sympathy though, it was their own stupid faults.

The Martian - like Castaway but set on Mars. Really enjoyed it.

Being AP

really enjoyed it

Theres a belting screener of The Revenant available in the usual outlets for those who do. Enjoyable, if a little grim.

Just watched Spectre screener on the big screen. Good copy but feel like I've wasted 2.5 of my life. Was Ok but skyfall was far superior. Good news is I supped a shed load of San Miguel!

The Revenant. Fucking hell. Only for those who like their Westerns as real as it probably it was. Brutal with very little dialogue and 2.5 hrs long. Set in the 1820 frontier land of Montana & South Dakota in deepest mid winter with big snow scenes as per Hateful 8. Overnight camping in the horse was different. 8.5/10 from me.

Got about half hour into reverent and couldn't be doing with it so will go back to it another time

Prob as had just watched hateful 8 which was ok once it got going but not a patch on other tarentino stuff - 7/10

The Revenant - 7/10. Could've been shorter. Great scenery.

Joy - 6/10. Classed as comedy/drama. Was pretty grim. It could've been much better.

Hateful 8 - 7/10. Again, it was typical QT but different setting with different lead character plus the usual QT suspects.

Steve Jobs - 6/10. Expected a lot lot more.

SPOILER ALERT

Having Channing Tatum on the credits, who is a big name, then not having him in the cabin in a film called the hateful eight, I was expecting him to pop up out the blue

Whilst not related, I said to the Mrs he's under the floorboards when they showed that suspicious jelly bean on the floor, just like them in inglorious bastards

Joy. Lawrence will no doubt get her oscar nomination for that. First 30 mins was a chaotic shambles. There was a story to be told but they decided to be to clever and lost it. 6.5/10.

Just watched Kingsman: The Secret Service. Not my thing normally but that was good to pass a couple of easy hours 8/10

just done Die Hard the one in Russa  3/10

The heart of the sea. 7.5/10. Good watch. Not too long.

Just watched Mission Impossible Rogue Nation. I have fallen in love with the main girl in that.

Oooohhh, sex.
