Recent Filums I've Watched

Book of Eli - Denzel Washington - took two attempts to watch it all the way through - a bit of a duff Mad Max type film. Watchable. 4/10

Green Zone - Matt Damon - enjoyed it, always like films based out in Middle East, etc. 7/10

Planet 51 - was enjoying it til I nodded off, kids liked it - must be good. 6/10

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - see above - 6/10

Good Will Hunting - Matt Damon/Robin Williams - look, there was fook all else on this Saturday just gone, never seen it before - quite enjoyed - the scene were Robin Williams was going on about his late wife farting in bed had me in tears - half decent. Oh, and Minnie Driver looked far better than I can ever remember. 7/10

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - its Swedish so no famous actors/actresses - great thriller - didn't bother me that it was in subtitles great revenge scene on the pervy Probation Officer- looking forward to the 2nd in the trilogy in the next week or so - well worth the watch and highly recommended. 9/10

That's me, Jonathan Woss, over and out.

Did you watch friday night lights film?

I loved the series...which, tbh, had little in common with the book/film other than it being high school american football

Film yeah not the series, always find it hard to commit to long series these days but got shorter ones like Now They See Us lined up.

Watched

Brian Banks - decent

Shock And Awe - meh

The Gentlemen - meh

Hunter Killer - meh

The Last Dance - excellent

Kajaki - very good

Friday Night Lights - meh

Fyre Festival  - switched off after 5 mins

6 Days - alright

Moneyball - good

End.

Really enjoyed Moneyball, thought it was great.

That scene when the scouts are sat around discussing which players to go for "he's got an ugly girlfriend though....that shows a lack of confidence" genuinely made me laugh out loud.

Me too.  The amount of last minute Wilbraham type touchdowns grated a bit though.  I've not seen the film but the book it's based on is a great read and a real eye opener about schooling in Texas.

Coaches wife was one classy bird, too

Casino and I don't agree too often. He's right on this one though. Connie Britton is a fine looking woman.

Didn't know there was a movie. I will be looking that one up.

Oh, yes indeed. Some of the younger actresses weren't too shabby either IIRC.

Watched Primal Fear last night. I'd forgot Wendy from Ozark is in it.

Yeah,  that dawned on me earlier. It's a weird one, she seems to be in a good few things I've watched but I didn't know her name until this morning. The Mothman Prophecies too

She hasn't aged well imo

shes the main woman character in Congo which were on channel 4 recently.

tim currys in that, i think.

plays the skitty wife in the truman show (above) pretty good too .

this week ive mostly been getting "the relic" mixed up with "mimic"

She’s Frasiers girlfriend at the end of the show when she moves to Chicago, and that’s where she is at the beginning of Ozark

He is. There are the only two things I’ve seen him in. Thought he was Jamie Lannister once

Aaraon Eckhart. Very good in 'The Company of Men' a very dark comedy. He's done a lot of B movie rubbish, Battlefield Los Angeles, The Core, Olympus has fallen etc.

Coming to the end of 'Goliath' season one on Prime and can recommend. Excellent cast, great locations, good writing and it manages to get a blend of comedy and drama that works pretty well.

The days of the Bagnold summer is excellent - good music and set in Bromley (our area is a by-word suburban boredom!)

Been recommended 'The Infiltrator'. Bryan Cranston and Joe Gilgun. Anyone seen it? Intending giving it a watch over this weekend.

Scrolled back a few pages and can’t see a mention so apologies if it’s already been recommended

‘Trial By Fire’

Fucking Hell. That is a film. Absolutely pisses over the nonsensical bullshit of The Green Mile which btw I think is a great film

Murica at its finest
