Awesome, I love everything about his game he is a real midfield gem, reminds me of a pre injury peter reid, he will leave the club for top dollar, it will be a sad day.

I think no coincidence that Muamba was below average today he missed Holden, however Davies looks a player, would be interesting to see 4-5-1 away at some point with holden/muamba and davies as a cent

Made an appreciation thread for him on BA, he's our player of the season so far for me, close behind is Elmander. Quality player.

He looks like he has all the time in the world when he's on the ball, a sign of a class act. Shame he chose to play for the yanks instead of the country of his birth

quality player, can put his foot on the ball, great passer hard worker and loves a tackle and wears the number 8 shirt. a good un in my book.

nice chap as well, met him up middlebrook a few weeks ago

A great find this lad

has he had any praise in the national press or on sky or owt???

ive talked about him to a few people, saying how good he is n'that - but most have heard nowt about him.

i dont think ive seen a player in a white shirt as comfortable on the ball since youri or jay jay...

out of a shite perfromance yesterday,he stood out like a blind cobblers thumb.

got a cracker on our hands here.

I wouldnt be worried about him disappearing too soon, just signed a long term contract, seems happy and barely gets a mention in the press.

I agree Mounts, splendid game yesterday. But he does need that killer pass just to make him that little bit special. Just a bit too conservitive at times.

Going from strength to strength this lad.

Bit sceptical at first as thought he was a bit light weight, but his engine

from box to box is getting better and better.

Maybe if in the past we had an England manager who looked somewhere other the top 4 clubs you would have a point

He means Scotchland.

Getting better every week. Going off his posts on Twitter looks like he enjoys playing for us, can't see him going anywhere in the near future :)

hope he bangs in a few goals throughout the season.

can we make up a new chant for him, i hate the USA USA chant

Stu-SA, Stu-SA?

Stu-SA, Stu-SA?

ha ha its a slight improvement.

He seems to improve week on week, has a good attitude and likes Sunday Roast. Hopefully he will be a wanderer for a long time.

Cracking player, he's a Per Frandsen in the making that lad.

First time for everything, I agree with Undies that he is short of the killer pass to add to his game.

Problem is, this "killer pass" that folk are so fond of relies on somebody making the run from time to time.

It's rare anyone does, but I'm sure Holden has more than enough ability to pick it when/if it ever happens.

Couldnt think of one that fits better.

Elmander looks to get in behind the defence and such a ball would add to his game.

If Muamba could recover his form from the back end of last season it would be a pretty good pairing but sadly Muamba has struggled a bit this season imo. Holden is getting more and more confident with every game and I think he is going get better the more games he plays.

I think Holden is a cracking player but I've got reservations about the pairing with muamba, I'm more than happy to be put right but they both look like ball winners and then play it simple types to me - Holden has or definately had the record for most tackles this season in the whole prem - he doesn't look like a goalscoring midfielder nor does he take people on in attacking situations and his range of passing isn't huge so if he tackles more than muamba is more comfortable on the ball shouldn't we be looking at a more creative midfileder to take Muambas place alongside him and improve the centre midfield pairing - don't get me wrong here not having a go at Muamba hes done terrific but for me the pair of them are just a bit one dimensional - I'd be happy to keep with them both as I say they've both done well just thinking how we could improve the side, the only real contender out the current squad might be Mark Davies but he's shown in a 2 man midfield he aint great (last year away at everton) and to be honest I've forgot what sean davies does, holding / attacking?
