peebles Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 (edited) Thought more sides would play tomorrow, avoiding the big boys games, thus ensuring bigger crowds. I know Chorley played last Good Friday. Any amateur games on tomorrow that anyone knows of? Edited April 5, 2012 by peebles Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 No, Colls are at home on Saturday and Monday [afternoon] Quote

athywhite1958 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 What a beltin' day on't Colls, there must have been a crowd of near 200 [woooooohhh!!], there were ex players from over 40 years ago turned up, some of these lads were in their 70's, I left at 9.00pm and the club was still heaving, them old fuckers don't have to work tomorrow, the day went very well so this will now be an annual event, BTW the result was 1-1, and Daisy Hill full back - hang your stupid head in shame, he head butted one of our lads at half time, but attacked from behind, cunt!!! Quote
leigh white Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 A decent match at Holker St with a piss poor crowd of 900, with Southport aiming for the play-offs and Barrow not scoring a goal in the last seven games it turned out to be a thrilling 2-2. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 AFC Darwen away for us lads tomorrow, having a bit of a competition who can get the word 'Kean/keen' in whilst conversing with the locals, I'm keen to do it. Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 (edited) What a beltin day we had with the dingles, drew 1-1, we got a man sent off 1st minute into the second half, we really should have beaten them, anyhoo, the locals there are fuckiin mental, a couple of their yoof muttered summat like 'wanker' as I walked past them with a BWFC beanie hat on, they didn't want to take it any further when I asked them 'why'? athywhite1958 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Colls progressed to the semi final of the Hospital Cup, a comfortable win, 4-0, unfortunately Athy Town keeper was taken away in an ambulance with a snapped wrist, and by fuck it looked and sounded painful, get well soon lad. Quote

peebles Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 are chester being escorted into chorley in one them bubble thingys after all the aggro last year? Can't see there being much, if any, trouble tomorrow. It's midweek for starters & there hasn't been any bating going on this year. Chester are already Champions & Chorley are assured a play off spot, so not much at stake either. Quote
peebles Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 About 100 Chester were drinking in Chorley before the game, heavily guarded by Lancs Police. There was a bit of pavement dancing outside the White Bull where I was supping but compared to last year, things passed off quite peacefully. Hope the stigma attached to this fixture has gone now tbh. Quote
peebles Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 2 big games locally on Saturday. Chorley v FC United in the play off semi final to reach the Blue Square North. This is all ticket (?9 adults ?5 concess)details will be on Chorley's site later today. Also Rammy Utd v Winsford. Rammy need to win to secure promotion to the NPL. (?6 adults ?3 concess pay on gate). Quote
athywhite1958 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Athy Colls play Castle Hill [from Bolton] on Thursday night at Atherton LR's ground, it is the semi final of the Hospital Cup [the final is at the Reebok], I'm pretty sure it's only a couple of quid donation entrance fee as it is for charideee - I could be mistaken though Quote

Castle Hill play int Lancs Amateur League. They've won it by a country mile though. Quote
