Our Cahill had made a bollocks of a free header eight yards out until it hit Heitinga, too, so I'd say our luck was in a bit, particularly as the goal game from a mystery free kick.

Quite harsh that. I watched the replay from every angle after the game - think Cahill's header was going in quite comfortably, no way would Howard have reacted in time.

  • Saha to score 1st goal.

  • What was most encouraging was the strength on the bench, when you think that we have struggled with the subs all season: Bogdan, Petrov, Lee, Klasnic, Muamba, Rodrigo, Wheater

Horwich is a twat, though

I know you haven't always seen eye to eye, but that's a tad harsh.

really enjoyed the game, especially as we won and my dad is a blue.

i thought everyone had a good game, and all contributed to make a great overall team performance. skd had his best game in a while for me, the whole back line impressed me never really looked in trouble. robbo MOM for me

I would like to make a contraversial point if i may...

Our favourite goal keeper....

On the effort that Cahill should of scored...

why as the ball came in did JJ have his hand up as if he was claiming for something, instead of getting ready to react to Cahill's effort?

And as the ball should of righly nestled in the top corner why was he on his fucking knees?

just curious like?

But good win, thought K Davies, made some great tackles like the Davies of old...

1) maybe, just maybe, he was attempting to put Cahill off. No doubt you will rubbish this but, well, who cares. He missed.

2) perhaps with the benefit of more than 500 ganes experience as the number one (or should that be 22)for his club and country, he had decided the ball was most likely to be headed / toe-poked downwards and so to keep the ball out safely by adopting that position was his best option.

Again, sure you know better and would have collected the cross and set Sturridge up for a one-on-one with Howard in one movement.

How many years has Jussi served our great club and been excellent apart from a few dodgy games? Oh he must be shit. Get real for fuck sake.

some people are never happy,

always looking to slag players off.

We were that fooking gash, you just had to turn up to win....even though you didnt, and looked very comfortable !

Expected better than that from us though, that was as bad a performance as anything under Moyes, and the worst this season.

oh and petrov

when you disagree with the managers subs, standing on the line shaking your head probably isn't the brightest move, sulky fcuker

Come on, Cassie, Petrov is Bulgarian and in Bulgaria shaking one's head means yes. So Petrov was agreeing with the substitution. :D

how about if cahill had gone with his head and powered a header downwards, jussi would have been in the right position, a keeper from that rnage has to anticipate, he did, now only tim cahill knows if that influenced the desicion to go with his foot or not, either way he 'did enough' as the ball did nt go in.

That's what you're taught as a nipper when you're

first learning to head a ball. Head it down as an attacker and up when defending.

So had Cahill headed it as most thought he should, Jussi would likely have in the right place.

This "on his knees" business is bollocks anyway.

He does it when there's no need to make a save to avoid launching himself unnecessarily.

What I couldn't understand is he hardly had time to half raise his hand as if to claim off side, before he dropped to his knees and the ball went high and wide...why he even felt the need to claim something at all, when he should of been waiting to react was beyond me?

My first reaction was he shit himself

I wish someone could find the clip....

seriously, if you're having a look at that moment, the pertinent question is how the fuck did T Cahill nip inbetween G Cahill and Knight so easily to have such an easy chance whilst unmarked

Then look at the closing down (or lack of) for the delivery

Aye, Elmander forgot where he was playing for a minute.

It was about the only time, though.
