O.c's Plan For Next Seasons Team?

Featured Replies

Why has he barely played for Wolves then? Is he just shite or always injured?

McCarthy favours one up top, and as Kevin Doyle is excellent at that, it means Fletcher only comes on as a 'plan B'.

That's my take on it anyway.

Should Wolves go down I think a decent offer for Doyle would be worth doing - an ideal replacement for SKD.

  • ill probably get shot down for this.... but i havnt the foggiest idea what matty taylor has done wrong? it would be pointless to sell him.

  • The people who are slating taylor clearly didnt see the lad run his back off up and down constantly on Sunday. Was a breath of fresh air after having Petrov stand on the half way line after losing th

"To be honest, if he's trying to say that I should move somewhere like Stoke City and change my game to winning tackles and not winning games, then he's having a laugh."

With an attitude like that, speaking about someone (who's probably forgot more about football than he'll ever know) like that, well, he's already at the perfect club. Probably happy enough riding the coattails of the first-team shower - in the bars of Spinningfields.

McCarthy prefers Doyle to fletcher And eaves and Connolly are progressing well connolly was in the squad for the brum game

And Doyle wouldn't be a bad shout as a Skd replacement but inthink Rodriguez is better

Doyle may cost too much but Shane Long At Reading can do the same job and would be worth a punt

Bothroyd is a good Championship striker. He's not a PL striker. And he's almost 30.

As is Fletcher, Eagles, Rodriguez and other players mentioned. Just like Beckford when he was mooted last year. We need to aim higher and go for proven quality. We might be little old Bolton but our stock ain't too bad - we're on the fringes of Europe, have reached a cup semi and we have a progressive manager who plays decent football. Plus we must be shedding a lot of the wage bill at the end of the season, so I'd expect us to be able to make the finances work if we have the right players in mind. The fact that Wilshere and Sturridge have shone playing for us recently isn't irrelevant either - I genuinely think we can attract a better class of player than those suggested....

Fletcher, Eagles, Rodriguez?

may as well give elmo a new deal

Saw those last night: piss funny, whilst totally accurate.

Shane long would be good as well I like him

Took a kick to the face in his last Ireland game SKD style

In 2007-08 there were 4 players in the Premier League aged under 21 at the start of that season who started at least 30 of the 38 available matches.

Fabrice Muamba of Birmingham, now of Bolton,

David Wheater of Middlesbrough, now of Bolton,

Gabriel Agbonlahor of Aston Villa, not now commanding a starting place in a team 'too good to go down',

and Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal, 'too good to go down next season'.

Agbonlahor, speedy winger/striker might be available.

Only hope regarding Fabregas is that Barcelona sign him but cannot give him starts, so loan him out.

Connoly wasnt in the squad as he was sat in the stands.

Not the final 18 but he went down there and did the warm up

reo coker - villa

carew - villa

larsson - brum

boswinga - chelsea

coleman - everton

owen - scum

mensah - sun'lan

woodgate - spurs (if u can get him fit)

kightly - wolves

some of these have probably signed contracts since though

dont know how accurate this is but theres a few worth looking at, for me:

reo coker - villa Good signing

carew - villa Too inconsistent and will go abroad

larsson - brum Good signing but would have to play on the left

boswinga - chelsea Never happen

coleman - everton Would go to a bigger club

owen - scum Never happen and is always injured (would love him here if he could stay fit)

mensah - sun'lan Always injured

woodgate - spurs (if u can get him fit) See Mensah

kightly - wolves Not sure how well he would return from this serious injury, good player before that though

some of these have probably signed contracts since though

Gary Cahill will go. I hope for ?16m +. I would like to see two quality fullbacks, robbie keane and another magic loanee.

Reflect on a fantasic season where financially we have punched well above our weight.

Stu Holden back and expecting much from Lee

Happy days!

Think coyle likes his un pollished diamonds, simeon jackson looks a prospect at norwich, nathan dyer at swansea is in the mold of swp, id like to see abdoulye faye back but if not then samba would be ideal.

I would of liked him back 3 years ago, but not now, I see LCY is being linked with Liverpool again, if we can keep hold of him I will be very happy.

Going to be a tough summer for our manager me thinks, be interesting to see what happens

Will be tough keeping hold of lee, he is a class act. which ever big club comes in for him will see it as a way of opening up the asian market.think we might get one more year out of him.

I am really looking forward to seeing what Coyle does in the summer in terms of who comes in and who leaves, Cahill will be a miss but if we get some good money and reinvest most of it into the team then we may get 3 or 4 players in which could improve the whole squad.

The Korean can leave if the plice is light.

I'm still not convinced he's worth ?5m+ as a footballer. As a marketing tool, maybe.

We need to go for proven quality? Go on then tell me who you think we could afford who is proven quality? Darren Bent? Or Fernando Torres maybe?......

Bit harsh, I think he is good but just needs a summer to rest as since we have signed him he has been playing in this or that tournament or coming in the middle of the Korean season.

Chungy offers us something different but needs to cut out that fancy dan nonsense when it is not needed.
