Boothy Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 What's the sell-on clause from Villa? Fuck 'em, Coyle know's what he wants for him, he's already made it clear he won't go unless the price is right.
xxxxxx Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) rorysmith_tel Rory Smith Arsenal have had a 2nd bid for Gary Cahill rejected. "Way short" of ?12m price. Full story on Tel website (and across BBC outlets...) soon. It started from Twitter. It was way below 12m. Edited August 30, 2011 by xxxxxx

Big E Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Of course it matters. How can it not? Some (including myself) would rather sell him and get enough money to buy a capable replacement (say Onuoha) and still have enough change to strengthen elsewhere, whereas others would rather keep him and get another season out of him. I'm not saying either is right or wrong, but there's a big difference. Blixa - I do agree that selling him at 10.59pm tomorrow with no replacement would be a disaster. That can't be allowed. i would sooner we kept him than sell him, lose a part of the sell on fee, get someone on loan for the rest of the season for a fee and then be left in the same position come next summer
grego Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Seems a deal has been done with Arsenal....hes off

wayne cramp Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Also in the telegraph that coyle has lined up Scott Dann from brum to replace Cahill .
superjohnmcginlay Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 not been on twitter yet cant be true
maaarsh Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 hmmm Were you expecting anything better than that in advance of an official announcement, or should we just lock the transfer speculation threads until things are offcial? Anyhow, for what its worth I hope we get him sold - I don't envisage him being the difference between us getting relegated or not, and I certainly wouldn't pay a ?6m fee to loan him for 1 year, which is effectively where we're at right now.
maaarsh Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 not been on twitter yet cant be true It's all over twitter, with the story changing every 5 minutes.

xxxxxx Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 They tried to get him less than ?10m, and tried to take the piss by waiting for the last minute to sign him for a cheaper price. I'm glad we've stood firm.
anewman Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 good now lets concentrate on keeping the squad together and beating the scum next week
jules_darby Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Spurs YHIHF I assume the F stands for Fourteenth in this case then
Guest Blixa Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Spurs have no offer on the table. We don't want their cast offs (and the wage bill of their cast offs) so is not going to happen.
HoldensHairdo Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Let's keep him !!! Joe Cole on loan? Worth a punt ?
