BBC Sport's Alistair Magowan says: "A very good Bolton source tells me he thinks Gary Cahill is unlikely to leave and that Man City were in talks with him at one stage. That deal fell through because the clubs couldn't agree on players going the other way. Source also believes Arsenal could have bought Cahill for ?10m-?12m and that the defender had been left frustrated by whole episode." Interesting. I can't see Harry Redknapp giving up easily tonight, mind.
