As I posted earlier, I don't see Gary as the thin blue line between us and relegation, but fair dos if you do.

Dann would want as much in wages as Cahill is on now

 

Crouch would want, what? ?40k+ per wk minimum....so that's an extra ?2m+ per year of his contract in that "swap" deal.....

 

I'd only do that if K Davies left

In terms of the best deal for the club, if Coyle can get a adequate defender plus cash that's much better than a cash only deal, given the Villa sell-on clause.

 

FWIW Bassong, IMO isn't the adequate defender though
