The worry for me is that we wouldn't have time to replace him - I don't think anyone we've brought in so far does that job.

 

He might leave for nothing eventually, but if he can help us get up the table, the money we pick up will offset that. Can't see him signing a new deal, but a last-minute sale in this window wouldn't do us any favours either.

Of course it matters. How can it not?

 

Some (including myself) would rather sell him and get enough money to buy a capable replacement (say Onuoha) and still have enough change to strengthen elsewhere, whereas others would rather keep him and get another season out of him. I'm not saying either is right or wrong, but there's a big difference.

 

Blixa - I do agree that selling him at 10.59pm tomorrow with no replacement would be a disaster. That can't be allowed.
