I actually thought Petrov was our best player. He can't defend or track back for toffee but he put some great balls into the box. It's obvious to all that we get over run in midfield most matches. A little formation tweak to 433/451 is in order. It might work against lesser teams but against the big boys who have class players everywhere it doesn't. 8 losses out of 9 Prem games is a disgrace, they've learned nothing from losing 5-0 to Stoke and apart from the 4-0 v QPR, it's been shite, today we created some chances, however only M.Petrov can come out of a game where we were passed off the pitch with any credibility.

 

2-3. 1-3, 0-5, I know they're hard games, but in each we've been totally outclassed, we gave some effort against City, but they still bossed us and could have had far more, it's simply not good enough, losing to these teams isn't a disgrace, it's the performances that are, at times our players were just stood still whilst United one touch passed it for fun around our poor team or just backing off and letting them come at us, 4-4-2 with 2 wingers that don't track back is asking for trouble against an in-form United.

 

It's in the moment and it's easy to feel negative after another hiding, but I see a nervy season ahead, our luck with injuries has hurt us bad, we've lost so many goals with no Sturridge or Elmander and 2 of our longest servants, Jussi and K.Davies are in terrible form, Jussi is having a nightmare of a season so far, him flapping about, dropping stuff today was just head in your hands.

Klasnic had a few shots today, one forced a good save from De Gea, but with him and a very poor K.Davies in attack, we look slow and lethargic and it doesn't help when our better 'ball' players like Eagles and M.Davies don't have any effect, Eagles has looked lost in the last 2 games.

 

We miss Lee, we miss Holden, we miss Elmander, we miss Sturridge, we carry on like this, we'll be missing a lot more, this run of losses can't go on, 8 losses out of 9 is evidence that we need change, they're separated by an off-season, but it's still fact, and if it continues, then fair being fair, you have to compare it to Megson [this is hard to say] and even S.Lee.
