I did computing there and got offered a job teaching COBOL or some other bollocks but it wasn't for me. Happy memories.

The vending maching in the basement you could twat and it paid money out.

The day computing got moved upstair next to the hairdressers.

Reminds me of the time I was at Horwich Loco Works doing an apprenticeship. Friday afternoons we spent at Horwich Leisure Centre either swimming or 5-a-side. Anyone remember the little packs of coloured elastic bands? Well, the small white one made a 10p piece exactly the same diameter as a 50p. We used to rob the machines, cigs for 30p two 10s and a 10 with a band on. Cans of pop were 15p. 10 with a band and you got a can plus 35p change. Happy days!

They used to have some of the looms down there when I was at BIHE back in the late 80s.

God it was a shithole back then.

I used to find it fascinating watching the lads doing building studies, or whatever it was called as they were in the basement too. A shit load of not rights in riggers building a wall, then knocking it down whilst a teacher stood and watched. Most odd.

I remember that. Did a computing course there and they gave us the guided tour.

It looked like a remedial unit.

It's quite sad to see it being demolished. Anybody else from WW used to go there?

I used to go there, i did a bakery course .. ....we used to go to the pub at dinner time with some lads who we met who were doing a different course . Always late back to lesson ,absolutely steaming ...happy days :good: Sad to see it demolished ..although it was a dump even then !

I did business studies there early 90s

Used to have a refreshment in the Alma as it was the only pub that would serve a 16 year old
