One of the by-products of cocaine in the blood stream is the same as one from a popular presciption asthma treatment. In recent years there has been a huge increase in the number of players stating that they have asthma.

 

Not sure if that's true but all the top 100 metre runners have "asthma" according to a guy on 5 Live as a quick blast of the inhaler before the gun gives you an advantage. I'd suspect footballers use it for the same reason, to open up the airways.

My wife is 33, is very healthy and was diagnosed with it this year

is this dispatched malarky about players using performance enhancing or recreational drugs

 

if its the latter, i really couldnt care less.

As a cycling fan, it always makes me laugh how so many sports get a free pass - the vast majority have dope testing so inadequate that most sportsmen would be professionally negligent NOT to take performance enhancing drugs.

Im watching this and its like brass eye.
