Guest Blixa Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Changed my prediction - had a dream last night we would win 2-0, Ngog scoring the first. I'm off to put a few bob on it... ...if it comes off, we also lost 7-0 to Arsenal straight after in the same dream. Swings and roundabouts.
Matt Lofthouse Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 3-0 Villa. Hopefully a full 90 min for Stu.
Theboybell Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Going to try I different tact since it's a cup game and say we will won in extra time! Back to saying nowt on Saturday
jaycampbell Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I fancy us for a good cup run........
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 This would be a good opportunity for Coyle to keep his nice guy card and drop those who needed to be dropped. For example, he could change the backline to: Gardner, Wheater, Cahill, Steinsson - if we perform well, he can leave the players in as a "reward" for the next league match and push on from there. It's a bit of a cop out, but it might just work.
jules_darby Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 2-1 Villa Bolton to take the lead early 146 hardy Bolton suppoorters there
fishbulb Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Blobby 'the court jester' Blake to make an appearance?
fishbulb Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Tuncay, Petrov and SKD on the bench according to Iles.
Garrp Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Cahill, Eagles, Muamba, Holden, Gardner, Pratley, Kakuta, Ngog Subs: Jaaskelainen, Robinson, Tuncay, Petrov, K Davies, M Davies, Blake
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Cahill, Eagles, Muamba, Holden, Gardner, Pratley, Kakuta, Ngog Subs: Jaaskelainen, Robinson, Tuncay, Petrov, K Davies, M Davies, Blake Sounds like 4-4-2 with Pratley just off of Ngog.
HR Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 I can only hope that Gardner has a blinder and convinces Coyle to give him a go at left back. I have seen enough of Robinson playing shadow puppets this season to last me a lifetime.
HomerJay Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 How far have we come when thats our second string and only Cahill keeps his place
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 How far have we come when thats our second string and only Cahill keeps his place Not sure if that IS our second string, or whether it's our new first string being trialed?
SalfordOriginal Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Was going to say the same and a lot of fans would say it's their choice. Good thing if Prately is up top he will naturally drop into midfield when we don't have the ball and give us a more solid look COYWM
bwfc2003 Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 believe commentary is on gmr and tower Can this be listened to (legally) online???
Zico Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Sounds like 4-4-2 with Pratley just off of Ngog. dunno my eyes/common sense may deceive me but that looks like 1 up top I can't imagine Pratley playing that role for me could this be the change in tactics we've been waiting for? Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Cahill, Gardner Muamba, Holden Eagles, Pratley, Kakuta Ngog
HomerJay Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 (edited) Will be pratley up front Well that's where coyle will tell him to play anyway Edited September 20, 2011 by HomerJay
Zico Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 or Muamba Eagles, Holden, Pratley, Kakuta in any event I don't think it's 4-4-2
SnoopJohnnyJohn Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 dunno my eyes/common sense may deceive me but that looks like 1 up top I can't imagine Pratley playing that role for me could this be the change in tactics we've been waiting for? Bogdan, Steinsson, Wheater, Cahill, Gardner Muamba, Holden Eagles, Pratley, Kakuta Ngog He played it pretty well in a pre-season game IIRC. He looked the best midfielder going forwards on Saturday too.
BWFC_LOVE Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Very happy with that lineup. Still expecting defeat as Villa have a strong side out, but I think that's something similar to what I'd put out if I were Coyle, and decided to play 4-4-2 obviously. Excited to see Gardner given a shot at full back for the first time since Big Sam?
HomerJay Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Anybody who believes Gardner is a better defensively than robbo is living in a dreamworld
jazza Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 you know the rules.. or at least you should Liam no feeds on here
