Going off Casinos thread re: where next

up to this point, there are 99 folk saying give him til stoke, 88 with rose tinted spectacles saying stick with him no matter what and 40 sensible fans who realise he aint the one.

what do you reckon those stats will say after we win or lose??

We could run another poll after today's result and the 99 who say give him until the stoke result can then jump one side or the other.

What we can't do, however, is run a poll after every game only giving him until his next loss. That'd be counter-productive.

Well, we could run such a poll but it'd be daft.

Win, lose or draw today - it won't affect my opinion that if we sack Coyle, we wouldn't be able to find anyone better to come in and replace him. Now's the time to get behind the club and not start getting restless if we're not playing like Barcelona after 10 minutes.

This now has become a yawn.

Ok. so we drive Coyle away, who do you replace him with???? Most of the fans that moaned about Megson are those now moaning at Coyle. Coyle has made many mistakes, so do, most managers.

No doubt if defeated today the knives will be out for him, win, and he`ll be the Messiah once again.

No doubt Davies will return for todays game.

I know what you are saying, but coyles has made more mistakes than I can recall yet folk still back him, anyone else or any other club would of sacked him by now.

I just dont get it, then again what do I know

I just hope against hope we get a result today. I can't take another Megson type club vs fans debacle. I still think Coyle has got what it takes to turn things around, but by Christ he needs a bit of luck. I appreciate he's made mistakes, but he's young enough to learn from them, providing he can ride out this awful period.

It`s a similar situation to when Sam Allardyce was appointed. Fans were a bit taken back by it, especially when he was given a ten year contract?

I know where fans are coming from regards to Coyle, I myself has doubted a few of his team selections and substitutions. His signings seem to bewilder most.

I do firmly believe Coyle`s hands are tied firmly behind his back, he`s had to spend money on a tight budget, something Megson never seemed to have. I would have thought that his interest in S,W Phillips would have come off, but again it was down to wages. It does seem pointless paying players like Blake and a few others who aren`t going to feature in the first team which could have gone towards a bit of pace.

Those players wont need a team talk today, or at least they shouldn`t.

You all seem to be forgetting the key point.

Many, many fans just like a fucking good moan. A piss poor start to the season has given them all something to really get stuck into. If we were top of the league they'd still be whining about the debt/shit strips/stadium being in Chorley/pitch being mowed in an aesthetically poor manner.

They just like moaning. They don't have a wife (or one who gives a fuck) so we have to put up with it.

Personally, the football has always been more of a social occasion anyway so I find it hard to get that worked up about millionaires falling over.

Some folk need to look a bit closervto home to find an explanation as to why they get SO set.

We'll win 1-0 today.

Do you mean like "Runaround" with Mike Reid?

A bit like Runaround but not with Mike Reid. He's been dead for a while and, to be honest, I don't think, under the circumstances, he'll be as good as he once was.

It seems to me you're itching for Stoke's more expensive team to score first then you can get your bedsheet out.

So basically just a dig at everyone who doesn't agree with Anewmoan? Who by definition are all wrong? Coyle out, Gartside is a cunt, Jussi's on his knees again, we are going down.

Started watching in division 4 Jules. I doubt George Oghani was a millionaire, unless stealing domestic appliances is a footballer's version of irony.

All I'm saying is that it's always the same people going completely over the top with the whining. It's tedious. Of course things aren't going well but you'd think from the reaction that the world is about to implode and life on earth cease to exist. It's comical.

I'll let you explain what patronising and sanctimonious mean. You DO know what patronising means...???

Very good :D

Agree about the moaning.....as a set of fans Bolton do do it very well, but don't think that's directly linked to passion and those that care

The moaners are often the most apathetic and I find those that it appears to matter to the most; mounts, zozzy, MG etc seem to be very much positive

Our position right now and the way we've played for the last 6 months is well worth a whinge though

I'm all for a whine. Fuck me, nows the time. But for me I just think a more positive general attitude would work better.

The players will know they aren't world beaters, but I bet you a pound to a pinch of shit they'd put in a better performance if twenty odd thousand supporters made them feel like it.

We can't score from our seats, but we can do our bit.

Im also fairly sure Coyle doesn't want us to lose.

But yes, I doubt there a club with more moaners. Or better ones :D
