Perhaps give Boyata chance to play in his position before writing him off. He's a shit right back, but that's the case for a lot of centre backs.

17th January and still nothing. I'd of thought Owen would of had his targets lined up well in advance of January and would of been making enquiries. Not suggesting he hasn't but I'm not convinced anything will be added to the squad bar 1 or 2 squad players.

 

Problem with enquiries on (or before) 1st January is the price, especially when we're skint and far from the pick when it comes to dishing out wages. Prices gradually come down as clubs who need the cash realise it's a buyer's market.

 

The club are probably as aware as we are for the need for a couple of players to make a mark in the first team now. I'm guessing...just guessing...probably more aware seeing as their financial future/jobs are riding on it. Be nice to get players in now, but unless some rich Arab tips us a few million, that ain't going to happen.
