jazza Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I am not into motorcycle racing really, it is exciting enough and I always admired the bottle that these lads have but the whole scene has just gone way up in my estimation. I just watched TT - Closer to the edge, and it is simply the best sporting film I've ever seen! You don't have to be into the sport, in fact the less you know about it the better but you simply HAVE to watch it. Bravery or stupidity? You choose!
Casino Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) best sporting film raging bull, cinderella man and slapshot Edited January 8, 2012 by Casino
kent_white Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Been wanting to watch that for a while. If any sportsmen deserve ?130,000 a week it's the TT racers. There are some great interviews with the main rider in that film on You Tube. The on board camera for a lap with his commentary is insane!
kent_white Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Oh and 'When We Were Kings' is my favourite sporting film. Maybe I'll change my mind when I've watched Closer to the Edge?
superjohnmcginlay Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Not the best film but the best speech in a sporting film goes to al Pacino in any given sunday
SalfordOriginal Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Whatever happened to Wartime Wanderers?
Ben Der Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 Coach carter and senna. On a lighter notes the longest yard is also a good filum
jazza Posted January 8, 2012 Author Posted January 8, 2012 I watched Senna through the week and it was great too... This film gets right inside particularly Guy Martins head He is a cock, eccentric but what a will to win And i won't spoil the end of the film but... I haven't felt emotion like that watching a film for ages
