My dad used to be involved with Salford Lads' Club many years ago and when the Smiths released "The Queen is Dead" my dad sent a cheeky message to Morrissey asking for a donation. He heard nothing back at all until about 5 years ago when out of the blue he send a cheque for a big chunk of money, can't remember how much, but it helped to keep the Club afloat. Yeah he can proably afford it but he asked for the donation to be kept a secret but the Club asked if they could publicise it to increase the fund raisng profile.

 

But his Falkland comments are regrettable to say the least.

Of course, this could just be a clever move to garner huge publicity from a fading non entity (was always a depressing non entity but has become an insignificant one).
