Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

been nice and sunny in the shires, but blimey, it's cold. I've had to flick the heating on

Lad is out gritting later, and their weather facility reckons temperatures of around minus 8 in parts over the next day or two.

East winds here today turned it in to winter pretty sharpish.

Horrible conditions today :(

I doff my cap to you… I have window cleaned when younger, hard graft.

Don’t mind it.

I like the drama of a moody sky, horizontal rain, freezing winds.

Soft cunts you lot,

I did a few days over Christmas time, fir a bit of cash whilst at uni.

Weather not dissimilar to today's.

No long poles and deionised water then- they've got it easy today! 🤣

Old heavy wooden ladders with the metal spikes, round was oriel street in Bolton had to climb over the brick walls then hauling the ladder over.  Was grim job.

Was only saying that the other day, Nov - Feb seems to be one long run of wet and windy weather, hardly any spells of more than a couple of days of drier, crisper weather. Our garden doesn't drain well, plus we're close to the sea, channels around the lawn like Venice

We just don't get those days with "heat inversions" where you get on the hills and can see for miles anymore... all wet and windy.

Although it has been pretty crisp over here for the last couple of days

I went last year for a cleaning pole.

Lady served me.

Great place: the "open all hours" of the cleaning world.

Snow ,in the shires, in November, practically unheard of. It's fucking Baltic as well

I've just checked this out.

What a great gaff. Absolutely crying out for a place like that over this way.

Have to buy all my stuff online, Window Cleaning Warehouse and the likes but no good if it's vital.

Love the fact they've adapted from selling scrims and cloths to full on Reverse Osmosis set ups 👌

Just mentioned it to my Dad, he's astounding it's the still same shop.

My old man used it when he started window cleaning in Farnworth after leaving Platt International with his mate Malcomn Barlow. Talking 50 years ago now easy.

Did window cleaning when I worked for a contractor who did the final clean in new builds/refurbs.

Most scared I’ve ever been was cleaning the third floor window of a house in Barnoldswick.  Ladders at full extension, stood on second from top rung, nowt to hold on to, body flat against the wall. All for £20 a day.

It's almost 50 years ago that I started on the windows, I worked for a bloke called Alan Winstanley (Winnie) from Athy for about 4 years until I bought my own round. Worked all over Farnworth, great times, all the cleaners used Moxham's. My mate Winnie is still working at  68 years old, I go for a pint with him every Thursday
