April 15, 20242 yr Pouring down to bright sunshine and proper windy in the last hour here in North Wales
April 15, 20242 yr Just hit East Manc. Thunder, lightning, hail, the lot. Now I can see blue skies. Got to be into double figures the number of times the same thing’s happened today
April 15, 20242 yr Longest duration of hail in a day I can remember. Has some heavier, but it seemed to hail for most of the morning, then more this afternoon.
April 15, 20242 yr Fuck all in the Shires Suppose we've got to get on with it, keep the country going rather than moaning about it

April 16, 20242 yr Checked the weather app, showed no rain for the next 4 hours so thought I’d bag a 50km bike ride over lunch. Last 15km in a fecking hail storm. Ouch. Suppose the app was right

April 16, 20242 yr How long does it take you to do 50k? I reckon the distance cycling in my youth has contributed to buggered knees now, though it's not something that can be proven!

My average speed varies from 22-26 kph, so 2 hours ish, depending on wind and how fecked I’m feeling. My knees and ankles are bolloxed from football so can’t run any sort of distance. But cycling doesn’t seem to bother them at all.

Used to get aches and pains deep inside them and across the top after a long ride. That was at around 15 years old. Physio lady reckons the caps aren't quite running along the grooves properly now- probably weren't then neither!
