Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

It's glorious sunshine down here, but fucking hell it's windy

Yeah rain has gone and lovely fresh spring sunshine now

They told me this morning.

Ask them how many lads work in each department 😅

Snowing up in Ullswater by the way

Pouring down to bright sunshine and proper windy in the last hour here in North Wales

There’s a storm passing through Horwich at the minute that is simply biblical

Was stood in my fish pond as the storm arrived here.

I got out.

Just hit East Manc. Thunder, lightning, hail, the lot. Now I can see blue skies. Got to be into double figures the number of times the same thing’s happened today

Longest duration of hail in a day I can remember.

Has some heavier, but it seemed to hail for most of the morning, then more this afternoon.

Bloody hail set my car alarm off this morning.

Fuck all in the Shires

Suppose we've got to get on with it, keep the country going rather than moaning about it

Evening walk with the hound, and full winter clothing- hat, big coat the lot.

At least the tree has been sorted, so can't squash anyone.

fucking hell it's windy

Garden furniture is sheeted up. Just turns into a sail but its not moved today

Mustve changed direction a bit

Checked the weather app, showed no rain for the next 4 hours so thought I’d bag a 50km bike ride over lunch.

Last 15km in a fecking hail storm. Ouch.

Suppose  the app was right

Some lunch that!

Anyway, today was supposed to be half decent.

Bit shat in reality.

Aye. My lunch hour isn’t literal 😁

How long does it take you to do 50k?

I reckon the distance cycling in my youth has contributed to buggered knees now, though it's not something that can be proven!

I’m not really hammering it. My average speed varies from 22-26 kph, so 2 hours ish, depending on wind and how fecked I’m  feeling.

My knees and ankles  are bolloxed from football so can’t run any sort of distance.

But cycling doesn’t seem to bother them at all.

Used to get aches and pains deep inside them and across the top after a long ride. That was at around 15 years old.

Physio lady reckons the caps aren't quite running along the grooves properly now- probably weren't then neither!
