Drew Peacock Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Already mentioned, but Nicks on Chorley Old Road is great - Not tried the one on chequerbent yet always thought COR was great - went to Chequerbent - was a disaster. Missed one main course, which they only discovered when serving, and they had run out by then. Ordered alternative, took the order and then came back to say 'sorry - we have none'. Food that we did get wasn't as good either. Got stroppy with us when we complained - never again! Quote
DazBob Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Burger King at Middlebrook, ... or Gaucho in Manchester. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 My Mrs took me to Nutters near Rochdale for my birthday this weekend, the food was excellent but a little pricey Quote

I have no problems with Nick, it was the woman who is running Chequerbent I had the problem with. I would guess he knows about it, because when I said I wasn't paying for certain things, she threw the toys out of her pram and said 'well don't pay for anything then' Been going years - won't be going back. Athywhite_Mike Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 (edited) Why not take the twelve min rout to the FAR PAVILION simply fantastic. Denn We went to the RANI on Friday night and it knocked the Fav Pavilion of top spot I'm afraid. Food was fresh and absolutely spot on. I didn't stick to the floor either. The Fav Pavilion has gone a bit down hill of late IMO. Edit: If you haven't done so already, give RANI a go. Edited May 22, 2012 by Athywhite_Mike Quote

fatty Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Surprised to hear about Nicks at chequerbent - we went one lunchtime and it was good and the staff were fine - perhaps they struggle at night but no excuse for an attitude. Good choice with Gaucho though. I'm salivating at the thought of their fillet !! Am I right in thinking it's owned by one of the Rolling Stones or is that bs ? Quote
