They have to reapply to go into the spl as a new team, they will now be known as strangers.

They are also banned from europe for 3 years so thats 3 games they will miss.

They'll be known as the loan

rangers.

are they not being chucked in the bottom league?

are they actually going into liquidation or is it like pompey where everyone gets screwed but they carry on?

newco starting as per hmrc demands

other 11 spl teams will decide if they come back in, or start at the bottom.

not sure which way this will go.

and to be honest, i dont care

just makes me think how many other clubs are close to this kind of situation.....

They might as well take Celtic with them, whats the point of Scottish football other than Catholic/Protestant loyalist, we played that game at primary school, with our school being next door to the local Cathoilic school. Deary me its been going on for decades how fookin tedious.

On a par with the dogand duck not fielding a team as the boozer has been boarded up

Sad truth - can't be treated like everyone else because the Scottish game could collapse if Rangers left the top tier.

Surely the other SPL will want Rangers 2.0 in the SPL purely from a gates point of view.

apparently not.

seems they are more scared of the tv money disappearing.

Surely the likes of Hearts, Hibs, Dundee Utd, Motherwell will be eyeing champions league qualifying rounds for finishing 2nd? Or is it only top spot in scotland that goes in to the CL qualifying?

I Still can't believe they'll relegate them to the bottom tier - for nothing else than the SFA board thinking they'll get slotted if they do!

i'm slightly interested to see what the clubs will vote for

Does anyone south of the border really care?

heard some scot on the radio yesterday saying all the other clubs bar Celtic will demand the voting format of clubs in the SPL to be changed in return for Rangers re admission. From what I understood both the old firm together can veto anything they dont like, if rangers agree then the other clubs will be able to outvote the old firm.

Skirt wearing fuckers, send 'em to non league

Thing is that occasionally Celtic and Rangers get through the qualifying rounds to the league games. These others would probably be eliminated in either the first or second qualifying games. The SPL must be close to losing that second spot and a few more non qualifying seasons would result in it going.

however the real crunch is the SKY deal, without Rangers it would be renegotiated drastically and they would lose their major source of revenue.

In the coming season there are 2 Scottish teams in the CL, both facing 2 qualifying rounds to reach the group stage.

The following season there will only be one.

Whereas England are firmly entrenched in the top 3 leagues, with 4 CL teams, Scotland are 15th in the rankings applying for 2012-13 and 18th in those for 2013-14. After 15th there is only 1 spot per country.

Scottish law does not give precedence to football creditors, so Rangers do not get the protection applying to English clubs.

I like you Malcolm. Your very thorough with your ways.

Couldn't give a shite about Rangers or the Scottish Leagues. If Rangers do go in the bottom league then shirley they deserve it.

Agreed, most interesting, boring man around!

Tip top!

Apart from any financial or European considerations, I doubt they'd relegate Rangers to the bottom tier because the grounds at that level are probably on a par with the likes of LR & Colls & simply wouldn't be able to cope with an invasion of Rangers' fans.

What did I put months ago and got laughed at, Portsmouth rangers or summert was it
