June 13, 201214 yr heard some scot on the radio yesterday saying all the other clubs bar Celtic will demand the voting format of clubs in the SPL to be changed in return for Rangers re admission. From what I understood both the old firm together can veto anything they dont like, if rangers agree then the other clubs will be able to outvote the old firm.

Or is it only top spot in scotland that goes in to the CL qualifying? Thing is that occasionally Celtic and Rangers get through the qualifying rounds to the league games. These others would probably be eliminated in either the first or second qualifying games. The SPL must be close to losing that second spot and a few more non qualifying seasons would result in it going. however the real crunch is the SKY deal, without Rangers it would be renegotiated drastically and they would lose their major source of revenue.

The following season there will only be one. Whereas England are firmly entrenched in the top 3 leagues, with 4 CL teams, Scotland are 15th in the rankings applying for 2012-13 and 18th in those for 2013-14. After 15th there is only 1 spot per country.
June 13, 201214 yr just makes me think how many other clubs are close to this kind of situation..... Scottish law does not give precedence to football creditors, so Rangers do not get the protection applying to English clubs.

June 13, 201214 yr Apart from any financial or European considerations, I doubt they'd relegate Rangers to the bottom tier because the grounds at that level are probably on a par with the likes of LR & Colls & simply wouldn't be able to cope with an invasion of Rangers' fans.
