June 26, 201214 yr Germany Italy is Thursday, Spain Portugal is tomorrow my dear Don't you start patronising me too, chummy!
June 26, 201214 yr Righteo Anyhow, shouldn't the title of this be Krauts v Wops? I don't want either to win, but if I had to call it, the Krauts will win it 3- 1 in normal time, which'll make me feel a little better for Sunday's shite.
June 26, 201214 yr I couldn't give a toss who wins, football has finished until our pre-season game at Accy as far as i'm concerned. Germany and Spain are the 2 best sides in the Euros though so 3-0 to Germany
June 26, 201214 yr all about Gomez being top scorer now even if Italy win 3-2 and he gets the 2, it should be enough I'm supporting Gomez
June 26, 201214 yr For a start, they won't surrender midfield. He won't be spraying balls around and orchestrating things anything like as easy as he did against us. I believe Germany will simply overpower Italy but the eye ties do have the ability to prove anyone wrong if they gel. I'll go for 3-1 to Germany.
June 26, 201214 yr Germany on pens. The best team by a mile in this competition, to watch also. For their last two games, Portugal have been the best to watch. This tournament has been exceptional, and any of the last four could deservedly win it. Heart sez Portugal, head sez Germany.

Heart sez Portugal, head sez Germany. Meh, Portugal's full backs are the worst defenders in the tournament. Watching them has been comedy, going forward they are good, but for me full backs should be good defenders first. Germany have a sytem that every part works sooo well, hence, the best to watch, imo ofcourse. Edited June 27, 201214 yr by Pablo

At the risk of sounding like Diddles, Spain and Barca's full backs can barely defend... but if you've got 90% posession then you'd rather they were comfortable on the ball than 'able to defend'. On the other hand, if you can't keep hold of the ball for more than two passes at a time then you need your fullbacks to be disciplined and play as part of a back four. ... and this is why England need fuil backs who can defend. BTW, competely agree with you in that Germany have been, by far, the best team to watch so far. Edited June 27, 201214 yr by DazBobParr

Eye you are right I suppose, but as me watching it, watching 2 "full backs" trip up, fall over and struggle to even attempt to tackle of close down an attacker, is not a good watch. Plus, great fullbacks will always have a good assist rate, and be able to defend. Lahm, Cole will do both very well. Baines will do both well. The Real madrid one's and Partugal one's do 1 of them well ! Edited June 27, 201214 yr by Pablo

June 27, 201214 yr I've thought to myself fuckin ell I enjoyed that after the last two Portugal games, more than the others, hence 'best watch'i
June 27, 201214 yr Germany 4-0. The panzer boys have had since Friday to recover and a relatively easy game in which they rested key players whilst the cornettos played 120 mins on Sunday night. It will show.
June 27, 201214 yr Most tournaments have one or two classic matches. 2008: Czechs v Turkey. 2006: Italy v krauts. 2004: Englandv Portugal. As much as I have enjoyed this tournament I can't say there has been any standout matches. I've got a feeling this could be the one. The semi final in 2006 was one of the most entertaining 90 minute 0-0 games I've ever seen.
Germany 2 v 1 Italy (AET)
