Oldham in the snow, 1978 I think

Oldham for me too. Tuesday night Feb 4th 1975. I was 14. We took the Chaddie!

If we're counting Wembley s then Reading 95

Wolves away in the fa cup, 93. when we won 2-0

Oh dear Bury 1966 lost 2-1 , a young Colin Bell did us , Wyn davies scored for us & +21000 crowd !!!!

First away game was at Nottingham forest in the FA cup 1967 when Forest won 4-2. Lots of Wanderers fans there that day.

That was my first away game too, followed a few weeks later by my first away league game at Preston (3-1 win with a Francis Lee hat-trick I think?)

blackburn 67/8 (check)

We either won or lost 3-1

Thanks, Dad

Blackburn away 72/73'ish can't remember the score, but remember Bolton Fans everywhere.

Swindon away 1971,lost 2-0,Charley Hurley sank 3 pints of Guiness in the club bar then got on the bus.

Charlton was first on your own? You must have been nearly 30.

I'm not sure but I'm thinking either Oldham in the league around mid 70s probably 74 or 75 or it could have been the 1-0 win at Huddersfield in FA Cup.

Huddersfield for me. Remember it like it was yesterday.

Next one after that was Blackburn when went up in 77/78.

Everton (2-2) August 1956...

Neither can I. Threads like this sadden me. I really wish I'd been able to ask my dad loads of stuff about stuff I don't remember before he died.

Sorry for the downer.

He wasn't wired up right if I'm honest, but that's no bad thing :)

My first away game was when my dads best mate from work; a Citeh fan from Little Lever. Took me to Maine Road in their end in the late 70's when we played there. I remember we were losing 2-0, then pulled one back, but we then left about 10 mins before the end to avoid the traffic. To this day I don't know if the result was 2-1 to them or 2-2. I know in the 2-1 defeat they were winning 2-0, but not sure about the 2-2 game. Anyone remember?

it's in a thread a few week back, don't be so lazy

Bury away in 1964. I recall we lost 2-1 and I was devastated. I remember going there later in that decade. That prick Alex Dawson (ex-Nob End) was playing for them and I think we lost again with that chimp scoring.

Bolton fans torched Bury railway station in protest.

Tranmere first round FA Cup 83ish. We drew 2-2 and won the replay 4-1

Quite a naughty day the away match at Tranmere.

I was only 10 but fronted up nonetheless
