My first away game was when my dads best mate from work; a Citeh fan from Little Lever. Took me to Maine Road in their end in the late 70's when we played there. I remember we were losing 2-0, then pulled one back, but we then left about 10 mins before the end to avoid the traffic. To this day I don't know if the result was 2-1 to them or 2-2. I know in the 2-1 defeat they were winning 2-0, but not sure about the 2-2 game. Anyone remember?

Can some one post the link to the match highlights as the poor lad thinks we lost.

Brum away : FA Cup 4th round 29th January 1955. Dad took me - one of several special trains from Trinity St. Moir scored for us. 56,800 on St Andrews.

He'd been taking me to home games for a few years, but hadn't the cash or time for away games - except some cup ties. He'd been thinking of taking me to the quarter-final at Hillsborough the year before, but thought the crowd would be too big (65,000).

I remember every detail ..........

Well, OK, no ............ I had to look up the details. I remember going on the train and remember us kicking it into the crowd holding on for a replay - until the inevitable. :rolleyes2:

Quite a naughty day the away match at Tranmere.

was made up when we won it with a 98th minute winner

jumped out of the seats into the terrace below

the drop was deceptive :(

anyway, bastards equalised 5 minutes later

very naughty day indeed,non-stop fun and games for hours before, during the game in the seats and wasn't there some fisticuffs on the pitch as well at the end ?

strangely those ''we're not scousers'' didn't come to burnden for the replay.....reasons on a postcard.......i'll say their giro didn't stretch that far :innocent:

Oldham 1975 I think we lost 2-1

I'm a young pup, my first away trip was to Sheffield Wednesday 1982, we lost and the cig I asked for seconds on I honestly thought was a roll-up.

Notts County in 84/85. Got battered 6-1 but the piss taking I took at school made me more determined to go back for more

another mad day/night.

went in their end. 0-0 when we parked up late on forest's car park, walked across the trent, queued up,think we were 5-0 down by the time we got in.

WW3 erupted at last orders when forest's lads arrived back from their game at mansfield. entire coachload arrested,3 charged,I was one of the three......................for underage bleeding drinking

52 lads kept in overnight, then coach broke down on the way home on the '62 near hartshead services, got home at something like 1-00 in the afternoon

oldham in the early 70s

oldham for me too. think it was postponed loads of times because of snow. my grandad took me and he gave me the 50p or so to get in. As we got towards the turnstiles there was a hole in the fence with a few getting through it. my grandad shoved me that way and headed off to pay, all prim and proper. when we met up on the other side he was gutted as i'd managed to drop the cash as i clambered through the hole. RIP you tight sod.

Notts county, first day of 1980/81 season I think. Think we lost 2-1 too

Man united FA cup 1990. Mark Hughes the c**t

Good evening me old mucker, think I saw you walking round the pitch that night.

In them days we rarely got any TV coverage but I can remember Saint & Greavesie playing the goals on their Saturday dinner show. They were takin the piss and laughing especially Greavsie when he mentioned Pedro Richards scoring, that guy averaged a one goal in 100 appearances!

My first game was same as you Blackburn away 75-76, 1-1 draw was on the Riverside.

I was in the seats when we scored and the scouse cunt in front took offence, que foot in his head, it was the rules back then.

Oldham for me too, very early 70s biggest recollection was a mounted copper who was the spitting image of Oliver Reed.

Brentford lost 4-2, tranmere year so 1990 was it?

I think I'm another for Bristol City @ wembley in 86

Will check with the old man tomorrow

Jan 6 1968, Huddersfield away. Did my paper round in the morning then went on a coach from Church Inn Garage L/H. Drew 1 1 with our goal by Freddie Hill (alias God). Later that month went to Forest away in the cup which we lost 4 2.

I still have the programmes.
