A few thoughts struck me when I saw the team though :-

SKD up front in a 4-5-1 is as useless as Mark Davies and Pratley in a central midfield 4-4-2.

Ricketts ....... why ? He's been awful at left-back since the Barca B game.

Ream back ....... stop fookin changing the centre-backs.

No Petrov .......... what's he done wrong ?

N'gog ......... when will he be fit ?

Suffered the full 90 mins today, total shambles, shocking mix of soft arses, big-time charlies, lazy twats and stumps not good enough even for this level, all put together by a manager who is tactically inept, has lost confidence in making decisions during a game and has clearly lost the dressing room, judging by the total absence of anyone taking responsibility for their own jobs, mucking in for their team mates and being prepared to give a shit about the outcome. Honourable exception was Jay Spearing, who was head and shoulders above the dross and must wonder what a nightmare he's walked into.

Why play SKD up top on his own when we know what type of player Faye is. If I can see that he will mark and muscle Davies out of the game then why can't Coyle ?

Just got back from the game if thats what you can call it, can't wait until next Saturday the kids start there footy season, at least I will see a few games this season with heart and people giving their all for their team, and i wont be feeling depressed like these lazy no heart, scared as shite softies make me feel. chris (thinks he's ronaldo) eagles needs to work on his tackling cause he can't tackle he must be scared of getting hurt. and I don't understand why coyle keeps him on when we have Gregg Wilde in the team.

Best squad in the league IMO

 

But one or two are prone to errors

 

BUT

 

We don't have a central midfield pair good enough for a 4-4-2 on the evidence so far.None of them can work hard enough for that.

 

And if we do play 4-5-1 then i've seen nothing to suggest we have a striker good enough for the one.Davies is finished, Ngog is shite and the other two are kids learning the game.Afobe is the best striker we have, none of the others would score 3 in a half against Tranmere but i don't think we can play him as the lone target man.

 

Point is there isn't a team in the players available that's out of the ordinary even at this level
