Didn't The ground not have a safety certificate also?

Apparently there were less police on that day from the year before, I've not read much into it only heard on talk sport,

  • For the record, yes, I have no doubt that the crush at Burnden . . . and similar occurences throughout the world, are caused by more folk attending than can possibly fit into the area designated.

Re the cover up, fucking scandalous, name and shame. BUT that was after the event.

There's blame in all directions but a truth where that fans that killed 39 people previously are entirely innocent doesn't ring true. They were still acting like cunts at Wembley in 95.

Its a tragedy that people went to a match and never came home, but I would have prefered it if the scousers campaign was a search for the truth and compensation, lets have a little bit of honesty from the bentest region in the country.

Pretty much where I'm at.

A terrible tragedy made worse by the subsequent cover up, but the cover up didn't actually kill anyone.

The fact that some liverpool fans may have contributed does not mean that all liverpool fans are tainted.

My point is that people are say liverpool fans as though they all acted in the same way the fact is that by being at the front probably meant a lot that got crushed at the front got there early and with tickets, probably sober, so why is there so much talk of drunk, late, ticketless fans ?

They aren't, it's common sense to anyone who ever watched football in a cage that it would have been kids at the front.

And I have no problem with drunk or late fans, we've all done it.

My question is, were there people there with no tickets? Or did everyone get funneled into the cages whilst adjacent ones were empty?

The people who put the cages there, with no gates, are partly to blame. Mellor, Moynihan?

Just been on Twitter.

So you aren't allowed to ask questions?

My dad was there FFS.

Takes a special coward to put your point anonymously on Twitter too.

Self righteous arse licking cock

Yeah condemn a whole site and all it's members for a discussion and differing opinions and if could retweet me at the same time, that'd be great, ta

Instead of reading, being disgusted and then telling tales elsewhere, why not get involved #sanctamonious

First time I've posted about this, I don't give a fuck because the whole truth will never be told, this will run for years yet. IMO

I think I mentioned this a while ago, but so was I.

What a cowardly way to self-promote. He should be so proud.

I can only compare it to my Grandad's holiday as a guest of the Japanese Empire. Something they didn't really talk about in any detail.

Call me numb, but who has posted the original tweets?

I really don't understand this retweet business.

It looks like Vital tweeted to them, not as a reply though. I might be wrong, but he's apologising to someone who hasn't read WW anyway.

Most odd. No agenda?

@vitalbolton (which appears to be a BWFC forum) made the original tweet. By including Gartside's Twitter name in the 'tweet' effectively CC's him.

Gartside has then retweeted, which means he has basically just done a 'reply to all'. Therefore anyone who 'follows' Gartside will read it.

... and here endeth your first lesson in tweeting :)

Yes, it appears Vital posted the initial tweet. trying to drum up some traffic for their shitty little site. #wankers

Well, seeing as I haven't got a fucking clue about twitter, I've tweeted to both Vital & Big Phil.

Fwiw, I too have tweeted my disapproval.

They can now ignore two clueless pricks :D

In fairness to the much-maligned Big Sharps, even he's called VB out on this one.

what a fucking cunt , you are blatantly shit stirring and looking to give yourself some publicity. #grass

The way it looks is the Government have apologised on behalf of the Police, the Sun have apologised on advice from the Police, and a boatload of workshy fuckers will gain bucket loads of dinero for a fuck up by all parties, so thats nice.

The fans are to blame for causing the incident

The police are to blame for their response

End of.

Compo culture has a different view though!
