Wad only 9 when it happened mate so if I'm honest no real thoughts on it just remember it being something bad happening. However through the years always and knew there was a massive injustice being done and yes probably influenced from my being a evertonian, sorry correct that boltonian, who supports everton who lived in daisy hill and now lives in Leigh Quote
Spider Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 in the 80's,our game away at scarborough saw serious overcrowding in our end. i was in a mob of 60 lads who jibbed in,no doubt many others did,as the official number of BWFC that day were 600,anyone who was there knows there was a damn site more than that. again at blackpool on the boxing day,how many got in for nothing, when the gates to the kop end were kicked in ?i had no ticket, and was outside with a good thousand or two,who were all ticketless and soon took advantage of the 'free gate'. against wrexham in '88 on our promotion from the 4th division. i like many others were ushered in the side terrace to relieve pressure on the terraces behind the nets. like a few have said, similar incidents could have happened at many grounds, ours definitely included. on a side note, watching highlights of games in south america, esp argentina, makes me wonder when we're going to see a disaster over there. that is just a matter of time Come on Miami, everyone knows there were 8,000 Bolton in Scarborough that day...... On topic though, and for about the billionth time, if the "justice groups" would simply issue a statement that says "We know Liverpool fans had no tickets and were jibbing in pissed up, but every set of fans did the same back then", not one person on here (or anywhere else) would have a problem with them chasing the Police for explanations. That's all it would take, honestly. The Police would then be free to say "Yep, they turned up in more numbers than we prepared for, we fucked up with the standard of policing, they fucked up with their careless, contemporary attitude". Times have moved on. It's time now for the families to do the same. Of course, they won't. Quote

Miller Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I was thinking more like banned, mate pmsl, rofl etc What for? I've not been rude to anyone, insulted anyone, used bad language, just have a difference of opinion who believes on this occasion the LFC fans are innocent. If that warrants a ban then it's a sad state of affairs. Quote
