Sometimes shareholders are Directors but not always Paying a chief exec / chairman / whoever tuns the show peanuts is a false economy as most folk need to earn; therefore they would also perform other fee earning activities and not concentrate wholly on running our club As long as Gartside took a cut in line to reflect our drop in status I'm happy with that Remember what happens if you pay peanuts.....
