  • I honestly do feel for him.   Lovely fella...just not a very good manager.   His reign couldnt possibly of gone any worse, for it being injuries, bad managment the lot.   Good luck Owen...wherever

I just hope we get Eddie Howe as replacement. Not because he'd be any good, but because of the apoplexy it would cause in Burnley. How funny would that be?

a lot of folk seem to be getting rather giddy about phillips and sammy lee.

Unsure why.

Because Mick McCarthy and Roy Keane are currently one and two in the betting I'd say

Has bwfc dan confirmed with his ITK sources yet?

If not i don't / won't believe it!

Fuck him

Fucking hell not Sammy Lee

Get the ginger 1 back

I didnt think i'd ever claimed to be ITK... Unless you want ticket info... Then im your man B)

Whatever happened to gaz_ITK?

Good point, has gaz confirmed it yet?

I really wanted Coyle to be the man for BWFC. Im gutted its not worked out for us but it feels like the right decision. All the hard work really does start now, massive game against Bristol.

Typical stubborn bastard, right to the end. Given the option of extending his tenure but doesn't take it.

I'm glad, he isn't a strong enough leader when in sole charge. Having lee helping would only have weakened his leadership further.

Hope we don't rush into a replacement, Phillips and lee have seen what needs doing so should be good enough for the short term

Arrogant Unemployed Cunt

this made me chuckle and shows how single minded and stubborn coyle was:

http://www.zonalmark...le-of-football/

they ask

"Have Bolton played ‘attractive football’ under Owen Coyle this season?"

then wheel out stats to suggest not

to which he replies in an interview:

Kettle and pan come to mind

Coyle on Sky Sports News in the next hour

Coyle on SSN this hour

New PR officer for Barclays.

Jimmy Phillips and Sammy Lee, Jimmy!........ And Sammy!

Will be looking forward to that on the train to Blackpool.

No doubt we will have MM in by then though.

interesting point coyle made on SSN,where he mentioned Gartside had said ''we can dress it up a bit,say you've left by mutual consent etc'' but Coyle reufsed and said 'let the truth be known'.............................fair play to coyle for that, but Gartside is showing immense loyalty and backing to him to say that, even after such a disastrous spell in charge.

I'm hoping for Ian Holloway or Roy Keane but Mick McManus will come in and wrestle the players into submission

Fuck him

Everything OC has ever done in the media has always been with the highest standard of dignity - even today, a couple of hours after losing his job, he takes time to sit and talk to SSN and speak openly and honestly about it.

As much as I have wanted him to go over the last few weeks, I can't help but feel gutted for the guy.

Top man, nice bloke but completely the right decision.

Next appointment is possibly the biggest choice PG will have ever had to make - earn your corn Phil.

i think sacking coyle was probably gartside's toughest business decision to date especially as they're very close friends. it also mentioned that Eddie Davies had been in Hong Kong for 2 weeks, arriving back after the Millwall and calling a meeting. Fine bullet to the head Edwin...................who's the Chink you've lined up ? Bruce Lee to put some fight in the team ?

when i heard it on Tower FM at 11,i must admit their choice of record after the news bulletin was of impeccable timing...they played Beat It by Michael Jackson........fine choice sir :dj:

I thought he wasn't going to games because he was pissed off ITK and all that.
