tyldesley_white Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Not played the trump card yet.... Keeping Holden out of the team... If you hadn't noticed Holden is not in the team, and I would not expect him to be until mid Dec, when this lads loan is up ... his you glass still half empty Edited November 8, 2012 by tyldesley_white Quote
barryk32 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) He's an England u21 player who was doing very well at Barnsley before suffering a bad injury. Norwich managed to sign him but he needs to gain his match fitness due to said injury. Norwich send him out on loan for a month to a LOWER DIVISION team (yes folks thats what we are) to get this match fitness. Holden should be training again soon so he plugs a gap. The way I see it is everybody wins, Us, Norwich and the player? What am I missing? Edit : To add to that he was Barnsleys youngest ever captain. Aye, sounds wank. Eavesy Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Honestly the Holden part was really a joke. Although the rest was serious... Quote
passmosster Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 bit like wylde those things you'll never, ever, be able to explain Must admit that I was quite impressed by Wylde when I saw him just the once mind. Quote
Leedswhite Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 To add a bit of fact ( I know why let that get in the way) he was the main man for Barnsley until he was injured at Leeds around New Year. Next door neighbours are Barnsley fans and raved about him prior to injury. He is an attacking midfielder, so think Dougie has seen enough of Pratley to know he isn't good enough. They are gutted he's not gone back to Barnsley. Dougie will have seen him play for the last couple of seasons. We need to remember we are no experts on players in this league as we haven't seen them for the last decade. Lets trust the guys that have. Quote
Casino Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Must admit that I was quite impressed by Wylde when I saw him just the once mind. He may well be a cracker Be nice to have seen him by now, if he is Quote
Garrp Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 once again, completely baffled by some of our idiotic fans Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 once again, completely baffled by some of our idiotic fans Idiotic indeed, how is it that any player signed by us must be world class? a lot of yoof on here have brains that only remember the Okochas, Youris, and Anelka years. I see what Dougie is doing here, and I like it more than the previous 3 incumbents. Quote
Flannel Truscott Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Fuck me I'm glad I'm a shit fan living abroad so I don't have to come sit near some of you dicks every week. We've been shipping goals and getting twatted - people not happy. DF comes in and tightens us up at the back - people still not fucking happy. Folk are slagging off certain players for not being good enough - not happy. DF brings in a low cost, risk free addition to the squad - people still not fucking happy. Quote
kent_white Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 There is a hugely underated quality available to Bolton fans called, 'reserving judgement'. Albeit a difficult one to grasp, it involves not leaping to an immediate judgement about something they clearly have no understanding of. It's well worth a try and can often lead to you not being perceived as a raving lunatic. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I don't see us flying high in the division right now therefore there's room for improvement. Now just a hunch I have is that DF has seen this kid play and thinks he might just offer us something better/different to what we currently have. What I do know is I trust DF's judgement much more than some balloons who want to fuck him off back to Norwich before his car engine has even cooled down Quote
Zico Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Freedman signed him because he sees an imbalance in the sqaud: http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/wanderersnews/10036878.New_boy_Jacob_is_just_the_start_of_Freedman_s_plans_for_Whites/ Quote
mannyroad58 Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Never heard of him, never seen him play probably like most people on here so why not give the lad a chance FFS instead of making a judgement on someone you know fuck all about Quote
frank_spencer Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Butterfield out I think you'll find it's spelled BOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I'm pleased with the signing its a measure of Eddie Davies desire to get us promoted that we are releasing more funds and like the comment that this is unlikely to be the last signing before the November 22nd deadline. Quote
