November 22, 201213 yr nistlerooy and shearer both tore their cruciates. the thing with holden injury is more than any other injury it needs baby steps, when it is said that he will step up his recovery he'll be doing light jogging in straight lines then sessions in the pool building up the muscles no twisting turning sprinting of any sort. He will play again for us i believe that but it really is not one to be rushed, frustrating giving that he is arguably our best player but even more frustrating for him.
November 22, 201213 yr Are there any other players that spring to mind that have recovered fully from a 2 year lay-off?? Yes....me! I had knee and shin splint problems for a couple of years and missed two complete seasons in my late-twenties, then it all got better and I had a good final few seasons for "The White Horse" on both Saturdays and Sundays - I had however lost a yard of pace so ended up at left back instead of left wing. I'll bet that's the sort of confidence boosting post that you were hopeing for
According to Alan Nixon-just doesn't seem this injury if it's true.
