Which is better?

Nothing beats Boxing Day because if the football, always enjoyed NYE more than Christmas to be honest, does Xmas get better when you have kids?

its fuckin great when you have kids, all the sneaking around hiding presents, quizzing them what they are into and getting it, then on christmas mornig hearing them wake up etra early and go downstairs and scream like fuck "father christmas has been"

Spot on with the kid thing SJM.....

Really looking forward to Chrimbo this year, mainly because my lad is just about old enough to appriciate it,we gave him presents last year and all he wanted to do was pull the DVD stand over.

Its a fucker though as our peg works till 8pm on Xmas day,as does my brother...so we have our proper xmas day on boxing day.

Ive been warned this year though...take it easy! As I nearly ruined everything last year.

New years,Ive only ever stayed in my local, always fancied going away for it...but I more often than not end up being bouncer for our peg! haha

speaking of christmas will someone get me a new laptop? this acer one does my head in, keeps missing letters when i type, done it since day one

Did Edinburgh the other year for the torch parade which was pretty cool,

Been away for the last few New Year's Eve's be a bit different this year!

Xmas is great with the kids, really is a special time !

New year is shite !

hate Christmas with a passion... love boxing day .. can't be arsed with new year.. just a normal day.

Christmas with young kids is great, these days we're usually trying to get 'em out of bed before Boxing Day or figuring out where they are.

I always liked New Year but these days I'd be quite happy to go away somewhere warm for a few days.

Never been arsed about any, usually working or just stay in. I can't be arsed with the half hearted shaking hands either. Can't you tell BB has no kids :)

Christmas and New Year are OK, as it's peaceful

Don't have any Kids and neither any close family left, So no real preference for either Christmas or New year. Will be cruising around the Canaries and North Africa from the 21st and back just after New year. Nice to get away for some winter sunshine. Can't wait.

I love them both.

I love them both.

Liar

aint got kids yet so not a fan of xmas day (never drink on it), not a big nye fan either. Always go for a drink xmas eve, and then boxing day always a good day. Theyre my favourite 2 days over the period

Had a pub for 4 years so didn't really enjoy either at the time apart from the cash, love xmas build up and the football but new year does nowt for me
