I'd like to know what percentage of those 3,000,000 are paying their way before passing judgement. Anyone know?

This has surprised me: The number of ethnic white British has dropped to 80%.

It's like anything, those who are contributing to society I've no issue with, those who aren't can be lumped with the rest of our great unwashed.

I don't give a monkeys how many foreign types come into the country, as long as they contribute. Any that are here for a free ride can fuck off....and there are plenty of lazy, sponging "ethnic white British" that they can take with them.

 

With similar thoughts to Zico, I've not noticed anything in my life changing with the influx of all their foreigners, but if things did change for the worserer, then I'd be off somewhere else.

Interstingly, our current p.m. was in Europe trying to re-negotiate our nations payments to the budget.

Poland has received significant payment to improve their economic and social standing, and they've had growth of around 4%. Fair enough.

However how can it be right that numerous migrant workers come here, share paltry accomodation, work for smaller wages and send the bulk back to their families back home? There are also stories about benefit payments they can claim.

If it's a free market then let people go wherever to work, but NOT subsidise their economy at the expense of ours.

Keep hearing this arguement about British workers being idle etc.. maybe some truth in it- don't know, but where living costs are different it may be unrealistic to work for peanuts.

But when you see gangs of migrant workers on Bromwich street early doors, waiting to be collected I'd like to know how many are officially employed, are they paying their dues and apart from living costs most of the money goes out of the economy.

Morover, as I said earlier if it's a level playing field then fair enough, but it's not. If your all for allowing the nations of Europe to 'catch-up' fair enough, but is should happen naturally, without a handout from Britain.

And it hasn't worked for the Greeks.

... but I also think too many (not all) folk nowadays think that living costs must include necessities such as a full Sky package, broadband, mobile phone contract, etc etc.

When i worked doing flats up in Llandudno, you would get a few E Europeans moving in those places, then more often than not, all there mates moved in and wrecked the place. I had keys to one flat and found about 12 sleeping bags in one room.

Did you see the graphic which showed how immigration into the UK compares with the rest of Europe. We're around about the middle - about the same as Germany and France. Luxembourg had the highest number per capita, roughly double ours.
