December 29, 201213 yr Best game I`ve seen Pratley play although his first touch is awfull. Annoying moment of the game was when Bogden caught the ball out the air to cheer from the Bolton fans behind the goal. I disagree with his first touch. Thought he created loads of chances from his first touch giving us an outlay we haven't seen for a while.
December 29, 201213 yr I'd give up on Pratley after backing him for months after he arrived i said he could be our new Kevin Nolan, today his running of the back of Davies headers was we have missed since Nolan left it should give him a shot of confidence and it might turn his career with Bolton round. The crowd while impatient in the first half slightly improve in the second half, Rome was not built in 1 day but its a small step in the right direction.
December 29, 201213 yr Well done prats! I have been a big critic, but hats off today. 1 small step.......
December 29, 201213 yr Makes you wonder why he's been so shit for so long. Unless brum were THAT bad. I didn't go, so cannot honestly comment, but its a one off for now.
December 29, 201213 yr Makes you wonder why he's been so shit for so long. Because we have been wellying the ball over his head. He was a star in the pass and move, play to feet Swansea team of a couple of years ago.

December 29, 201213 yr Thought Pratley was motm by some way today, covered every blade of grass and looked a footballer for about the first time since he joined us. One disappointment was Eagles and CYL coming inside and making play too narrow when we had the potential to open them up by getting wide. A poor first 20-30 mins but then confidence meant Dougies preferred brand of possession football started to give positive results. Loved the 'we're taking the piss, how shit must you be, we're taking the piss'.

Loved the 'we're taking the piss, how shit must you be, we're taking the piss'. What he said, but I was dissapointed the full backs didn't run into the space they made by moving inside. Although the left back did score from the inside right position, very well. This is not a critisism of mears, as I thought he played well, but he did eschew the opportunity to push on when the opportunity presented itself.
December 29, 201213 yr Mears got forward int second half a couple of times he overlapped once a ball just out ran him for a goal kick

If I was a fullback with eagles in front of me not sure how often I would overlap given he never passes. The ball mentioned above that was slightly over hit came from spearing.
December 29, 201213 yr Reassuring to read on here about people praising Pratley's movement. Had a bloke near me in NSL who was going mad at Pratley for running short at every corner kick until, just before about the seventh one, I told him to keep an eye on the Birmingham players that he dragged with him. The first one left a bit more space in the box but, more importantly, Birmingham's number 15 followed him EVERY time, neglecting his position on the near post which would have been a huge opportunity for us had the delivery been right from the corner. Ended up having to say the same to him not long afterwards when this bloke had a do at Pratley for running away from the ball (and therefore dragging his marker).....which created a huge empty space for the player in possession to run in to. Not normally one for rising to the bait like that, but some folk really need to engage their brain before they start gobbing off.

Mightly impressed by Pratley today but surely a "little 'un" could have done this instead of Pratley for corners
December 29, 201213 yr Agreed, no problem with that tactic but somebody other than Pratley could have done it, he's a big lad and not bad in the air so should be in the mix in the box .
December 30, 201213 yr Best game in a white shirt by Pratley tiday. Support to KD was superb yet still knob to right to me in ESL was still slagging Pratley off throughout the game. Gonna deck him before season is out. Knob not Pratley. Spearing and chungy brilliant going forward. Best game by Alonso as well.
December 30, 201213 yr I echo the above thought he was excellent in his role yesterday. Worked well with skd and got in great positions in the final third. Deserved a goal yesterday and should of been mom.
December 30, 201213 yr At this level pratters is as good as we have got its when we were in the prem that he was a little short of what was needed he was one of swanseas best in this division
December 31, 201213 yr Agreed, no problem with that tactic but somebody other than Pratley could have done it, he's a big lad and not bad in the air so should be in the mix in the box . Fair point, though I don't think Chungy running short might have commanded quite the same attention in dragging markers out of position.

Aye, having Pratley, Alonso and Davies in the side gives us a threat at set pieces. Without them, we rely pretty much solely on Knight, whose ability to put his head on the ball would be hilarious if he didn't play for us.
Take a bow Son.
That is all.
