In true wanderersways style I'll step in and be the one to lambast your parents for spending too much on ale and fags. If they truly wanted it, you'd have been a winner.

Murray showing again today why he's one of our top sportsmen! Superb grit and determination. Showed how much he cares with as well with the emotion at the end.

I really do not get the anti-Murray thing.

 

I do not give a flying fuck what his background is, if he tells enough jokes, how his mum acts, he does not hug everyone in a lift or the fact he was born north of the border.

 

He is a world class sportsman who as well as the usual grand slams has won Olympic gold and is virtually single handed got us to a position where we could be classed as favourites for the Davies Cup.

 

His reaction. Yesterday his reaction was pure emotion for winning an event that does not earn a fraction of what he would get for winning a tournament.

 

When he has done comic relief or even in the audience at Mock the Week he has shown he can laugh at himself. Add on top of that he went to school one day and we all know what happened, he should be a national hero, instead people moan about a jokey comment a few years ago, I think it is pretty pathetic to be honest.

Lots of people don't like tennis? And then for some reason many avid British tennis fans would rather support Federer or Nadal. Our tennis public is not that patriotic. Or maybe they are so long as the player is from the South, polite and gentile and does little more than a gentle fist pump to celebrate?

 

The support he got at the olympics when it was people just cheering on GB in general was superb. Most of those people probably don't even watch tennis the rest of the time.
