Youri McAnespie Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 If Federer wins on Sunday he'll be the third player only to win a Grand Slam in the modern era post 33 years of age (Ken Rosewall and Andres Gimeno the others)... He'll be by far the oldest Wimbledon winner, Arthur Ashe being a week short of his 32nd birthday previously (Federer is 34 on August 8th). Quote
MalcolmW Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Useless Scotch cunt. That's not what Neil Lennon was saying on the Today programme this morning on BBC Radio 4 at 8.55am. Quote
jturner Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I really enjoyed that, there were some great games, pity they were all on Andy's serve mind.I'd love Roger to win one last Wimbledon but my head says Novak. Quote

jturner Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 He's got a full day to stuff as much gluten free whizz down his trumpet as humanly possible. Are the bookies offering odds on Roger losing but being awarded the title in a few years? I might have a punt on that one Quote
Guest Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Arguably today that was the best performance ever on centre court. Murray did nothing wrong but Federer was flawless across three sets. Can he do it again? He will have to in order to win I think. Quote
Sweep Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Federer is brilliant to watch. He just glides around the court. Hope he wins on Sunday Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I really thought Murray would beat him, but Federer looked better than ever today, be very surprised if Djokovich can stop that.. greatest grass court player ever ,no doubt. Quote

If not then he's the best british sports person out there. Quote
jturner Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 If you count motor racing as a sport then only Hamilton ranks higher n terms of major sports. To be fair like motor racing, tennis is a minority sport for posh kids in this country. Murray's parents sent him to tennis school in Spain when he was 15/16 at a cost to them of 40k.The vast majority of parents can't do that. Quote
Whites man Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 the game late in the second, murray 0-40 down stunning Agree, stopped what I was doing and watched that, absolutely thrilling. Marion Bartoli just on now doing a bit of punditry, John Innverdale will be spinning in his grave. Quote
jturner Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 It seemed that game might be the turning point, but then Roger won his service game in about a minute and broke Murray the next game. Quote

Whites man Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Cable and preacher curls then a bar to focus on forearms. Grunted like a good 'un throughout. Quote

Does my bloody head in that. I always go 9-10pm most week nights and the place looks like a jumble sale of free weights by the time I get there. Dropping them does my head in too. If you can't put em down don't pick the fuckers up. Quote

I'd rather stick to my 3 x 12 reps with 22kg bells than show off pressing 45kg 3 times, grunt and drop. Quote
