If the detail and care shown in the trailers of the X wing and Falcon sequences are carried on through all action sequences rather than crap CGI of Ep 1-3 and 4-6 "Digital Remasters" my 8 yr old may enjoy same buzz as I did in '77.

 

It's a kids film but in '77 it was a fecking great one. (still preferred CEOTTK)

I've never watched any of the later Star Wars films, so for me this is episode four.

This looks surprisingly good.

 

Nice to see Han Solo and Chewy are in it, and it was great to hear that music again at the start of the trailer.

 

However, considering how awful episodes 1-3 were, I'm not going to have high expectations so hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Jules - I don't mind the escapism of Star Wars at all. Does not, in any way, shape or form deserve to even be in the same sentence as a work of classic literary genius like Tolkiens The Lord Of The Rings. Star Wars is kindergarten stuff by comparison (and I stress that I don't mind it at all).

The first prequel was so unbelievably shite I didn't bother with the next two. This on the other hand looks like it could be ok. I'm more looking forward to the next Bond film, which is out at roughly the same time.
