The Freedman Factor?

Had his true motives for coming here, other than a bigger wage.

Fair to say he has tinkered with OC squad until now. He seems committed to building with younger players to apply his own style?

He comes across as straight talking in interviews.

Has nurtured the green shoots of optimism within some.

Here's hoping for a strong 2nd half to the season with a view to Dougies team pushing on next ?

Will the Coyle apologists cease and desist...Did you not have eyes? Do you not have ears, or the ability to read (regarding the comments from the players). The man was an incompetent surrounded by yes

Really?

Why are Ipswich still below us then, if he's so great?

As far as I'm concerned the jury is still out on Freedman, but McCarthy wouldn't be doing any better.

They were 10 points behind, they are now 2 points behind, nuff said

Big Mick short term fix Dougie long term dynasty - delayed gratification it works

my jury is well and truly back in

he's fcuking great

i'm excited by what im seeing for the first time since fatty left

what he said

Dougle hasn't had chance really to put his stamp on things until now but I like the way he talks about the game. The improvement in players fitness, form of Pratley, Alonso and Ream seems encouraging and hopefully Sordell is now going to follow suit.

All in all, I'd say I'm quietly optimistic about the future

Untill he makes a subsitution that is.

Perhaps I am making the mistake of looking at our results and points total since DF took over?

That's not to say that he won't come good but surely so far it's hardly anything to get too excited about.

He stopped the rot and it was fucking rotten he's sussed the squad and is making changes that's no mean feat with what he was left despite coyles mindless bragging

If he stays for 5 years then I'm in no doubt we will be back in the prem and in a lot better and more sustainable position.

Big fan of Dougie!!

5 wins out of 18. Constantly tinkering so we never get any momentum. Only 6 points from the drop zone. Another Gartside howler

Certain ginger ex managers would have been hounded out of town for less

Something I like about freedman but can't put my finger on it, except we look fitter and more together as a team playing for each other, don't think people realise what a perilous position we are in, we need a run of results to take us away from the relegation zone a safe mid table finish will have to do and the big job is to keep the players he wants next season and mount a serious promotion charge.

He took a season to get palace into shape and they are reaping the rewards this season. I would argue that we were in a better position, with our squad and finances, when he arrived at the reebok than palace were when he took over there.

I think mourinho would have struggled to get us to the playoffs this season. He's taking us in the right direction and the players seem to be responding, albeit not at the pace that some of our fans demand. I'm happy with the players he signing and how he is getting some of our fringe players (under coyle) to make their mark on the first team (alonso, pratley, sordell). I do think he'll take us back to the premiership in the next couple of seasons in much better shape than we were when we left it.

IAMIN

Yet to be convinced by our Dougie. Spent just as much time in my seat as I did with OC if I'm honest.

He's done fuck all so far. Four league wins in fifteen, none this year, defeats to teams below us in the league and still conceding goals in the same way.

According to most on here we had a fantastic squad and were going to piss the league. The same mob are now claiming that Freedman's the mutt's nuts.

He might get it right in time, and I'm happy to give him that, but check the stats and he's little different than Coyle so far.

can't really tell as yet

We look miles more organised when defending. Rome wasn't built in 3 months. He's in theory gonna have the toughest budget any Bolton manager has had in 12 years, it will take time. He deserves a chance to show what he's about.

The results will come. He's tightened the defence up, got Alonso playing, Sordell started scoring, just had our best home performance of the season against a high riding Everton, he's turning it round slowly. But he had a hell of a repair job on his hands.

You reckon

He's got Pratley, Sordell and Alonso looking like footballers

It looks like he's freshening things up

Resigned Mark D, fcuked off Petrov

He's been here a couple of months and I actually want to go and watch us again

He's got a plan and I like the looks of it

Bloke takes over a job from a bloke that got sacked for incompetence. When he's moving into his new office the fella he's replacing gives him two envelopes and says "When you get into a situation you can't handle, open the first envelope. If you ever get into another situation you can't handle, open the second one." Things go well until something dreadful happens so he opens the first envelope. It says "Blame the guy before you." He does, and everyone believes in him again. More good times until another disaster. So he opens the second envelope; it says "Write two letters."

So because he hasn't won us the league and the cup in his first couple of months, lets sack him. Btw do you hate yourself as well as everybody else.

I have those off days yes

Away results disappointing, home results abysmal. He is here to get results, that's the bottom line

I think he deserves time. Its some of the players that are abysmal. Hopefully in the summer he can keep our better players an get rid of some of the heartless rubbish that put on our shirt.

yeah, but you're only in the bottom 3 on goal difference

chin up ;)

After the Everton performance i'm seeing improvement which is a good thing, you can only piss with the cock you've got so lets give him time to sort the rabble out before judging him, next season is the test

My neighbour is a scout at Sheffield Utd and told me last weekend that given time DF will serve us well and he believes in the up and coming young lads and he puts a lot of time and effort into that.

I wasn't sure when he was appointed mainly because i didn't know enough about him but he's slowly winning me over
