February 1, 201313 yr Nicky Hunt had a few good years with us. But his performance levels dropped, that's why he got stick. He's at Accrigton Stanley because he wasn't good enough at Bristol city Preston or Rotherham not because he got a bit of stick. Or he got stick therefore his performance levels dropped..?
February 1, 201313 yr Or he got stick therefore his performance levels dropped..? being the local full back he was, he had stick from day one not sure why he'd be shite at Bristol City though or Preston and Rotherham I actually thought he did a good job at FB, certainly no worse that JOB who seemed to be some sort of 2nd coming when he first slotted in at RB

February 1, 201313 yr And if they're Northern, that makes it even worse And if we can destroy them, you bet your life we will destroy them If we can hurt them, well we may as well, it's really laughable However shit Nicky hunt is at football he's a long way to go to be as utter wank as The Smiths were at Music.
February 1, 201313 yr The Smiths! Fuck off, that's Morrissey on his own. A bit like Nicky Hunt post BWFC, mostly shit.
February 1, 201313 yr I saw him place twice for RUFC and he was a cut above the rest in everything he did. It must be attitude that's the problem. He should not be playing at accy based on ability alone.

February 1, 201313 yr The Smiths! Fuck off, that's Morrissey on his own. A bit like Nicky Hunt post BWFC, mostly shit. Mostly pretty fucking good IMHO Morrisey I mean 'Everyone' knows that Johnny Marr was the genius in the Smiths, so his first ever solo album (26 years since the Smiths split, during which time Morrisey has released 10 studio albums, and only Kill Uncle was rubbish) should be a fucking belter.... And yes, I'll be there at the Ritz on March 23rd.

Even the thickest of the boo boys can see how stupid they'd look if they hound out one player/manager & then start abusing his immediate successor.....even if the successor turns out to be far worse than the man he replaced.

In one. We should have learned by now to be careful what we wish for....

February 1, 201313 yr Nicky Hunt was his own worst enemyby being an arrogant twat when out and about, he walked into our local one day [where a couple of his mates were] held up his car keys and said "who wants to park the Ferrarri?" I jumped up and said "I'll park it round a fuckin lampost you arrogant twat", he sat down quietly with his embarrassed mates
February 1, 201313 yr Mr Marr has a very tough act to follow IMO. I share your opinion. I wish him well, but noodling around with half of New Order on their days off and helping out some bands nobody has ever heard of does not compare with Morrissey's (spelt it right this time...Doh!) solo output, much of which has been first rate. 'Vauxhall And I' is better than any Smiths album.... Look forward to his gig in Manc though, good to have him back. Truly great guitarist.

February 1, 201313 yr Absolutely fair enough, doesn't explain why 20k Bolton fans booed his every touch though. 20k didn't It was probably 100 idiots
February 1, 201313 yr 20k didn't It was probably 100 idiots You're probably closer to the real number than me Jules, I was exaggerating for effect, but it was more than 100 IIRC...
February 1, 201313 yr Lucky for him he didn't play at Burnden, being booed by 51,000 every other week would have been a nightmare...
February 2, 201313 yr He had stick because he was wank Vela will not get stick because he is good. He wasn't He wasn't always brilliant but he got more stick than he deserved. Vela looks ok. In the Championship
February 2, 201313 yr He wasn't He wasn't always brilliant but he got more stick than he deserved. Vela looks ok. In the Championship I actually thought Hunt was a pretty decent right back when he first appeared on the scene. He could defend pretty well, and his crosses were pretty good, but his general distribution let him down a lot. I lost count every game of how many times he put the ball out of play making a simple pass up the line. Edited February 2, 201313 yr by SnoopJohnnyJohn
February 2, 201313 yr He wasn't He wasn't always brilliant but he got more stick than he deserved. Maybe. But it had nowt to do with him being a local lad.
February 2, 201313 yr Maybe. But it had nowt to do with him being a local lad. I would suggest that if he wasn't a local lad he wouldn't have got the same level of abuse. Not saying he was a world beater like. Just got more shit than he deserved.

February 2, 201313 yr http://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/143238-nicky-hunt-contract-terminated/ there's stuff on there that he was unwell/depressed/suffered from panic attacks when playing at Bristol City..whether it's actually true..
