Commercial Broiler Chickens are 6-8 weeks old when slaughtered, depending on what size of bird the processor wants. Of course, there are niche markets for smaller & larger birds. Commercial broilers have been selected to grow fast. This means that over years & years only the fastest growing birds have been used for breeding stock to produce these chicks. Virtually no-one on this board would have even contemplated not getting in the Play Offs last August and whilst i am not blaming DF its really only the last few games where we have shown any signs of life at all and even then with the exception of Hull we have hardly been convincing in any one match. The signs are there but if you're saying DF looks the right appointment after 20 odd games, what did you make of coyle and Megson after the same amount? Add to that the fact Both looked to be doing great in their 2nd seasons, plus there werent many times under fat Sam we didn't look to be making progress/on the up In a nutshell, are you suggesting the last few months are the most positive in several years as, without hindsight, it's far from it!
