Sweep Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Good lord no. Hatton was a far better boxer. Far better. Was he fuckery. Hatton was an out and out brawler, he wasn't a good boxer Quote
Underpants Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Impressed with the way Khan fought last night. Could give Mayweather a test. But he could beat Pacquiao. Quote
Barnstoneworth White Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Should be a statue of this bloke in bolton, by the time his career is over. Brilliant fighter, best thing to ever come out of this town. Everyone should be proud 'The best thing to come out of this town.' Bullshit. Everyone knows that it's the Spinning Jenny. Quote

Alf Hartigan Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Khan v Hatton in his prime would be some fight. Khan's become the world class fighter I always said he would. I think he'd beat Mayweather. Quote
Biggish Dave Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Khan would have to have footwork like a demon to escape a prime Ricky Hatton and the pressure he would put on. The Hatton which fought Tszyu and Ray Oliviera would almost certainly beat any version I've seen of Khan simply by not giving him a minutes peace. That said, Khan is a better all round boxer who's skills mean he might just make the cut at elite level if he keeps boxing like he did on Saturday instead of trying to go to war Quote
exiledwhite2 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Was he fuckery. Hatton was an out and out brawler, he wasn't a good boxer Well you are conflating 'good boxer' with a particular style of boxing. Whereas I stick to the guy who wins the fights being the better boxer. My point being a peak Hatton would have beaten Khan all ends up. You can argue all day long when it comes to fantasy fights - because styles do make fights. But on their career records Hatton is way ahead, at his peak he was a far more formidable fighter than Khan. Quote
