Site Supporter MickyD Posted July 29, 2013 Site Supporter Posted July 29, 2013 The one I knew had a sister called Lynne. He went to Turton School and would probably be about 54-55. Quote
bolton va va Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Small plump and full of himself? Aye. On the coaches, we'd pull up at a pub nice & early & SR would tell everyone to stay put while he went into the pub & showed the landlord a letter he'd got from another landlord saying what nice chaps we were & could we come in . Obviously, as soon as he got off everyone else just got off & dashed into the pub anyway. To be fair to SR, the coaches were very good at a time when away travel was limited. There'd be lots of drinking time, food organised for on the way back & for me, the first coaches with toilets on them. One of them was a smart double decker for the first game at Bath which got stuck when it couldn't get under the railway arches, so we had to have a police escort miles out of Bath & back in on another road. bwfc2003 Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Ste Rothwell, that's the name I was thinking of. Wasnt he the son of Ted Rothwell - Bolton secretary??? Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Think he fell out with the club and it must be nearly 25 years since I've seen hide or hair of him. Quote

I was on that, stopped at a boozer near Stroud I think. Quote
Members bolty58 Posted July 30, 2013 Members Posted July 30, 2013 Wasnt he the son of Ted Rothwell - Bolton secretary??? Nope. Ted's son is a personal friend of mine and of our good mate Lever Ender in LA. Duncan. He only had a sister. Lost track of him when he went to Gaborone on a contract. Heard rumours he may now be a London White? Anyone know if there's any truth in this? Quote
