I'd be absolutely seething if they pulled this off.

  • Only a clown would give Nixons inane ramblings any credence.   I'm not sure that anybody seriously thought we would be bidding £8M+ for a striker, if they did believe it then they've clearly been on

Never on £20k he was on £500 a week in states

3 words Owen fucking Coyle.

How are the two linked?

Let me guess where Wigan are getting this money from......!!!!

No idea and could not give a flying fuck. :)

Pretty sure managers don't dish out contracts

The only way the pie eaters will splash 10 milion is if everton or someone else bids for maloney.

Hang on! Didn't Nixon say we were buying Rhodes as one of his exclusives? And didn't the stooges on here buy it hook, line and sinker?

He's a bad, bad man.

I bet they have a say in it though

Quite well documented at the time that he had a massive pay rise to become cahills replacement. No wonder he's happy benchwarming..

Can't see him going to Wigan.

As much as I would have liked to sign him, I'm not sure he would have made much difference to our team.  No decent service.

Blackburn Rovers have turned down a 'here's your money back' offer for Jordan Rhodes from Wigan. 8m. Ouch.

We are hearing Wigan are interested in signing Stoke striker Cameron Jerome, but the player is unsure about dropping down into the Championship.

Testing the water Wigan, would not be surprised if they offer 10m later

Everton are being linked too - if they sell Fellaini and/or Baines they'll be able to afford whatever Blackburn want.

Not once BIll has had hands all over the cash.

My understanding is that Everton want M'Carthy from Wigan and if Wigan get the fee they want for the lad then that will fund the purchase of Rhodes.... The £8 mill offer already made will be testing the water. I would guess it will be £10 - £12 million that will make it happen...

Is Rhodes not coming to us then? I'm sure some said we were buying him for £4m as Jackburn wanted rid.

Can't blame him I suppose. Stay at stoke, be a bit part player picking up a premiership wage. Or play regularly in the championship on less money and folk realise how shit he really is

He's on the Rhodes to nowhere according to what's his face boywer.

What do managers actually see in Jerome?

This is the first step in the Owen Coyle revolution.....Sign strikers on big wages that don't score.

It was Sordell and Ngog with us.

Fortune for Wigan. Now possibly Jerome.

Rhodes might be the exception to this rule.

Wigan sign Rhodes and they're up.

Only upside will be watching the dingles toys come flying out of the pram again

Yeah but we would have to face him again
