Beckford - how much did we pay for that useless get?

We've done a lot better this week than Millwall did who's just beat top of the league. Buzzing we've scored and got a result better than a few on here predicted

Gutted to miss the game. 

Was hoping for back-to-back home wins this week. Got 1 point from the 6. Not great. But a long, long way to go.

Not good enough simple as that.

Need to stop conceding basic goals. Looked better going forward but we need to start getting wins. 3 points from 7 games isn't good enough.

 

Positives. Two goals. Mills an improvement on knight. Ream put in another solid display. Tierney looking decent, especially going forward.

 

Negatives. Conceding poor goals. Beckford hopeless second half. No real goal threat from any of our strikers. Chungy still not getting involved enough.

Beckford needs one to bounce in off his arse to get him going.

 

However, just standing near the goal waiting for it to happen isn't very endearing.

For every game that goes by Beckford will eventually get hounded our exactly like Ngog has.

 

Tension when the ball goes near him. Jeers when it doesn't go right. Eventually he'll decide it isn't worth the effort anymore. Which is a shame because he's probably a good player when he's not asked to drop for the ball constantly or chase punts towards his head.

Our goals were as good as out defending was bad (when we conceded)

Eagles is fucking brilliant. Played whole 90 up and down. Skinning people left right and centre. Getting shots off. Think he had a part in build up if first en but was a bit of a blur watching us string 4 passes together. Keep him fit and we might stay up.

Probably at the same point everyone decided Ngog doesn't give a fuck.

A lot better on the ball and knocked it around quite well, problem we have is when we don't have the ball, not pressing is allowing attackers to run at us with pace in and around the box and the fullbacks bombing on at every attack is absolute football suicide.

I reckon that result is the turning point.

 

Think the draw with west brom and Dioufs equaliser to stop the rot many moons ago.

Beckford is awful, just awful. I just hope a goal will do him a world of good.

I felt a bit more positive walking out tonight.  I heard some right angry fuckers though on the walk to the car, really angry like we'd lost.  Maybe I'm easily pleased, fuck knows, I gave up worrying what other folk think a while ago.

Tbh, tonight was an entertaining game, which has got to be worth something. Enjoyed it.
