  • It's getting beyond the bloody joke now of how many goals we gift the other team.   We need to sort this fucking shite out.

  • 10/15 minutes in ream gets the ball under pressure in a place you wouldn't want to be losing it - calmly steps round the derby player   played a key pass in the build up to at least one of the goals

  • some light relief...   https://twitter.com/Derek_Smalls_/status/380100342920515584/photo/1   Half time at the Reebok tonight !! Form an orderly queue please ladies !!

The only disappointment was we looked to have completely run out of legs and ideas in the last 20 minutes and Dougie didn't seem to address it.

That's been a problem for so long now, I'm sick & tired of it. Same as the players always look late on. When is this gonna be fookin addressed ?

That is hardly suprising when the fullbacks are our bombing forward at every opportunity, and then chasing the length of the pitch back when we lose possesion, surely the fullbacks should be more selective with forward runs as there doing there own job and also crossing more balls in than the 2 wingers. if were playing a system where the 2 fullbacks are going to bomb forward then we dont need to have 2 wingers on the pitch therefore we could sacrifice them and shore up the engine room with another body and play a 3-5-1-1.

I am better than Beckford. I will play for nowt.

i'm not sure i agree with lots of that but i'm in full agreement that us tiring is not a surprise when you only need to have seen the pace we played that first half last night

it was non stop

i was excited by it and i guarantee if derby hadn't scored those two goals folk would have been raving about that first half - they did score though so we need to get better, but the attacking football was enough to piss this league

But....

we've looked tired in other games that have been played at a far slower tempo too.

I disagree about the first half

There was the odd nice flash but the majority (goal excepted) was individuals seemingly playing on their own; it really was poor in my eyes

I was actually happier with the second half where I thought we looked more solid and as a team

I agree I thought we were more composed and structured in the second half and really dominated possession.

Anyone seen the goals anywhere.

Fucking rubbish is the coverage of the football league

It was a good goal the Derby first but made easier by Baptiste being 10 yards wrong side I'm not blaming him because its clear freedmans orders are for the fullbacks to push on at every opportunity and I'm convinced that is the main reason we are conceding loads of goals.

Don't talk rubbish Traf.

Numerous people talked on here about pre-season being about fitness & not results, even though the first team players barely played.

FWIW I think we're suffering from a poor preseason, though happy we look to be improving game by game, fairly happy about last night.

I thought it was a good performance and non-stop. We did tire a bit at the end, but fuck me it's a long time since they had a decent run out. Very pleased.

I think their second goal is typical of the luck that we're not getting at the moment

With 2 defensive midfielders playing, I think that when one of the full backs pushes forward, one of the DM's would be expected to cover for him.

Spearing missed the initial tackle and was on his arse and Ream was alongside spearing when he missed the tackle that in effect led to both players being taken out of action in one moment, got to say the back heel was quality the second goal was a large slice of luck.

I agree with all that........but does that not show that there can be lots of reasons for us conceding goals apart from the full backs pushing up....in this case Spearing missing a tackle, Ream out of position, good play by Derby & even straightforward bad luck.

Mills should have done much better on both of their goal

Doesnt do nearly enough to cut out the cross on either goal

Yes it does, but were conceding way too many and I'm convinced the fullbacks are being left exposed if they bomb on the wingers should also think about covering.

Cheers

From the video a number of players were at fault for both goals but Mills definitely could and should have prevented both goals; saying that Knight would not have done any better

Bogdan should have saved the first and cut out the cross for the second instead of falling backwards
